| Personal Description: My name is Daniele and I am originally from Rome. I have more than 25 years experience as Italian language coach/teacher in the world of opera: I have also worked, amongst other institutions, at Royal Colege of Music, Royal Opera House, Paris Opera, Opéra de Lille, Opera North, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, and the Royal Academy of Music. |
Teaching Experience: I am an experienced Italian language teacher, and teach private one-to-one or small group lessons either in Hackney, where I am based, or online. I teach students of all ages, levels and aspirations. |
Tutoring Approach: I tailor the lessons to meet the student's needs, ability and aspirations. When possible I try to follow a textbook, as I think this gives a good structure to our courses. The student would be expected to do some homework between lessons, as this is hugely beneficial to learning. The aim is to enable the student to 1) read and understand Italian, 2) speak and express oneself, 3) write and 4) understand when listening. The atmosphere is friendly and informal. |

| Personal Description: I hold a first class degree at undergraduate level and also have a masters in education. I have worked in both Primary and Secondary schools and currently hold a leadership position. My areas of expertise are: 11 plus entrance exams, Maths, English Writing, Reading comprehension and Arabic till GCSE level. I am a trainer for Secondary Arabic GCSE teachers. I am a dedicated and determined individual with a passion for teaching and have been in the field of education for over a decade. |
Teaching Experience: I have taught for a number of years in UK Primary schools - teaching students a variety of subjects and skills on a daily basis, my main focus has been on Mathematics, English Writing and Reading for Year 6 at a Primary school in Birmingham. I have extensive training in reading skills and developing learners' abilities with focused phonetic reading. Over the past years, i have moved to Secondary school and currently teach Arabic GCSE across all year groups in school. I conduct GCSE speaking exams and plan and teach all Arabic sessions at my school. My teaching style is based on the EPI strategy advocated by Gianfranco Conti having developed unique sentence builders for Arabic. My expertise is especially non-native students who have a keen enthusiasm for Arabic but do not have any interaction with Arabic outside the classroom. I also heavily involved in developing new pedagogic strategies at a local community centre for young students advancing their reading and writing skills. It is through my diligent research that a new curriculum has been successfully implemented and taught with great results for students and parents alike. I have access the resources for all abilities of learners and can tailor learning to suit your individual needs. |
Tutoring Approach: It is through thorough preliminary testing and focused learning that my tutees succeed in their weakest areas. I have previously found that once I have identified students' areas for improvement I am able to work with determined precision. As I have experience teaching in a mainstream environment, I have resources aplenty and developed schemes of works for students of varied abilities and needs. |

Without exception I am able to develop a positive rapour with students assisting me in getting the most out of them. |
Teaching Experience: I have been teaching Accounting and Economics AS/A level for more than 20 years in Redbridge, Newham and overseas. In this time I have achieved Ofsted rated grade 1 lessons. I am currently teaching at Havering Sixth Form College, after some time at Seven Kings High School.. |
Tutoring Approach: I implement a combination of teacher and student led approaches carefully designed to meet the individual needs of students. | Personal Description: I have an unbridled love for film and I want to share my education and passion with others. I have studied it for years and I have had practice in the field, but now I want to help others. I am an single dad with a beautiful little girl and I want a more secure future for her and me. |
Teaching Experience: None. But my enthusiasm for film shows in spades and I'm very keen to teach and share my experiences and education with others. |
Tutoring Approach: My approach will be fair, I want the students to be challenged and I also want to be challenged by them. I like to talk and I want the students to feel the same, watching film clips and films and then discussing at length, I prefer that approach. |

| Personal Description: I am a chemistry graduate living and teaching in Worcester and am happy to accommodate tuition at my home or to travel from Worcester to Droitwich, Malvern, etc... For many years I have privately tutored individuals and small groups of students alongside teaching in secondary schools and examination marking for the major boards OCR, AQA and Edexcel. |
Teaching Experience: I have taught in 4 highly successful and distinct independent and state schools over the past 23 years. I have overseen students in key stage 3 Science; GCSE single, combined and separates; A-level Chemistry. For the vast majority of my time at each of the institutions within which I have worked I have held positions of responsibility to manage the curriculum and ensure the quality of teaching and learning is outstanding to lead to excellent student attainment. |
Tutoring Approach: Tutoring can be a little different to learning in the classroom, despite the fact that individuals' needs must be catered for in both situations, tutoring maximises the opportunities for a tailored approach to optimise a students learning in a one to one situation. As such it is vital to have conversations with a student and the parent/carer to discover the best approach prior to the first session. This of course can be modified and developed in future sessions. |
