I am the author of four scientific publications in the field of linguistic relations in Russian, English and Tatar.

While living in the UK I have worked as a freelance tutor and translator for Scottish&Newcastle, Scottish Parliament, NHS and Rudolf Steiner School. I am really proud of the fact that among my students are people of different ages, knowledge of Russian and purposes of learning it and who are professionals in different fields for example in language and science teaching, sales and marketing, medical research, social work, to name just a few.

Always try to make students interested in the subject I teach. Create a ftiendly and an encouraging learning environment. Not afraid to praise them even if they do not get immediate good results. Tend to get feedback from them. Plan carefully each lesson. Use the Internet and PC in preparing for lessons. I have a BEng (Hons) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oxford Brookes University and have A-levels in Mathematics, Physics and Physical Education. My degree had numerous modules in advanced mathematics and physics, which I excelled at and deeply enjoyed. I informally tutored several of my friends and peers during university in Mathematics.

Following my graduation I secured a junior project engineering position at a company in the Oil and Gas Industry in 2007. I progressed into a project management role within 3 years of starting my career and I have subsequently been a Project Manager and Project management consultant for large engineering and construction companies in the Oil, Gas and Energy industries, including Schlumberger and Koch Industries. I am teaching to different kind of student form totally beginner to advanced level. To students or adults.

Tutoring Approach:
My method is set with the student after a chat to know better him and to put him at ease. Usually I tailor each lesson based on the student goals. A mix of grammar, speaking, reading and listening.
My exercises are based on books but not only often they are structured from modern instruments (app, online, journal, tv show etc.). If necessary I prepare scheme for my students and resume about some subjects that student would like to learn.

Personal Description:
I am a native Greek speaker, specialized in Greek Language and teaching. I have been teaching Greek as a seond/foreign language for the last 11 years in various contexts. I have had students inside my classrooms or through a one-to-one teaching that had from 0 to 10 motivation/prior knowledge/time to study/talent in learning foreign languages. However, all of them made progress, all of them learnt Greek to some level and achieved their personal goals with my guidance. My theoritical and practical experience, combined with the fact that teaching is what I love to do, make me a tutor you will enjoy having by your side as you start this beautiful journey of learning the Greek language.
