Teaching Experience:
I have over 10 years experience teaching maths in secondary schools in the Nottingham area. I'm currently the Head of mathematics at a very successful secondary school in Nottingham.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that for tutoring to be effective, the student must be motivated and have a desire to spend the time doing it. I take quite a relaxed approach and respond to the needs of the student dealing with any problems or difficulties understanding as they arise.

I prefer to work through a number of examples with the student addressing any misconceptions that may exist, before supporting them toward independent practice of questions around a given topic.

Hello, I'm Charlène a French girl working in Glasgow as an assistant in a secondary school.
Back in France I'm studying a Master degree in teaching in order to become an English teacher.
I am always eager to help people in their process of learning a French.

Teaching Experience:
Last year within my Master degree, I had the opportunity to teach a whole class ( 17 years old )for 2 months.
I've never done one-to-one lesson yet but since September my job consists in teaching small groups (4-5 up to 10 ); so I'm now used to have a more individual approach rather than a" entire class" one.

Personal Description:
My name is Amanda and I have been a secondary teacher and Senior Leader in schools for 27 years.

We have recently re-located to Cumbria from Suffolk and are enjoying our new surroundings.

I have a calm, purposeful and supportive manner and build strong learning relationships with my students. I'm also good fun and have a great sense of humour.

We have four lovely labradors ..but these can be in another area of the house if you are not a dog person!
