Personal Description:
I have studied up to Masters level including a post graduate teaching qualification; my main subject being biology. Throughout my studies and research maths has played an important role and I have taught maths and science privately at various times during my career.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught voluntarily to adults with special learning needs, and privately for spells during my career. I have also given my services on a voluntary basis to young people's groups, assisting in a wide range of subjects from arts to sciences.

I am happy to conduct lessons at alternative venues, such as libraries and grandparents homes.

Tutoring Approach:
My unique selling point I consider to be my attitude towards young people. I continue to develop an approach which is based on respect and empathy. Each child is an individual and requires an individual approach. Many young people lack confidence, and my aim, by patience and acceptance is to reassure and inspire.

For each student I would hope to work out a programme of study based on the student's wishes. From the many resources available, we would work out what suits the student best. Where the student is comfortable with parental involvement, I would actively encourage this.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic Italian teacher and a language professional seeking a position in a challenging school environment. I recently graduated in Italian Studies and I have a true passion for the Italian language and literature. My studies and my travels all around Italy gave me the chance to widen my knowledge about all aspects of the Italian culture from the linguistic to the historical point of view. Tutoring Approach:
I am an Italian national who has been living in Bristol since September 2012 and having had a long time experience as an Italian teacher for students who have participated in the AFS Intercultural Program, it has not been difficult to insert myself here as a private Italian teacher.
I have a deep understanding of the GCSE program since I am tutoring three English secondary school students who are having difficulties with the Italian language. They lack interest and enthusiasm thus each lesson becomes more difficult but a challenge for me. I am looking for lessons that give them the enthusiasm they are missing and I must say that I am succeeding; sometime I see that the textbook is very dry and for this reason, my personal teaching materials often replaces the book.
My method is based a lot on grammar induction, stimulating conversations with the student, based on body movements for understand the action of the various stages of the exploration of the basic construction of the verb tense. A few years ago I enrolled in a workshop offered at the university about the use and choice of scene Italian films for understand better the Italian style-life and that has been quite useful to my teaching of Italian culture.
In Italy I have had own bookshop where I held my Italian lesson, therefore I know very well many documentaries and lectures mostly (or particularly) on Ancient Rome. Furthermore, I have been a guide in the city of Rome and I'm perfectly capable of organizing a cultural trips.
I look forward to being given an opportunity to work with your school: it is the type of environment I thrive in and to transmit my passion and love for my country and for my mother tongue is my main goal. Personal Description:
Do you need help with arts and humanities assignments (especially art history and film studies)? Do you want an introduction to film or the history of art, for their own sake or as an informal platform for further study? Or are you more interested in visual and critical analysis of artwork? I can help you with all of these. A large part of my teaching has been aimed at students of art practice, but not exclusively so. While my main specialisms cover painting of the early twentieth century to the present.
