| Personal Description: I am a polite and humble person. I am confident under my guidance you will make significant advances in the subject of Urdu. I have studied my undergraduate degree from Pakistan and thus have an excellent command over my Urdu. I am an experienced tutor who has always been passionate about teaching. |
Teaching Experience: I have many years of tutoring experience and I have a friendly approach to teaching. I make my lessons enjoyable and fun whilst maintaining very high standards of teaching. Some of the children I have tutored have had a very basic command of Urdu whilst others I've tutored were studying for their A-Levels. Others I have tutored required Urdu for their job purposes or for pleasure. |
Tutoring Approach: I understand everyone is different and will learn in different ways. Therefore, I will tailor my lessons to each individual. Primarily, I will focus on ensuring the foundation blocks are in place before advancing to more sophisticated learning. Majority of the times I will set my students homework. I believe this is the best way to monitor the progress. Homework exercises will vary depending on individual capability but can include comprehension exercises (for advanced learners) to practicing reading/writing simple Urdu sentences (for basic learners). As most lessons are tailored, it's difficult to outline exact work plan but before each lesson clear goals will be set to give the students achievable targets. |

| Personal Description: I am a Wado Ryu karate black belt and I currently run a karate and kudo (Japanese MMA) club, teaching children from as young as Year 2, right through to adults. I am passionate about the personal development aspects of karate training - the mindfulness and mental tenacity that it teaches the practitioner, as well as the obvious physical and self-defence benefits. |
Teaching Experience: I have over 25 years' experience of teaching sport and modern languages in secondary and prep schools. I am currently Head of Modern Languages, and also cricket, at a local school, and I am a mentor to trainee- and newly-qualified teachers (NQTs). I started my teaching career, at just 15 years of age, as a violin teacher and have since worked as a one-to-one languages tutor (French and German), in addition to my work as a school teacher and martial arts instructor. |
Tutoring Approach: Above all else, I listen to my students. I take on board their training goals - whether it be learning the basics of self-defence; going on the journey of self-discovery that is working to becoming a black belt, or simply developing fitness and self-confidence, whilst deepening their resilience and mental focus. I then tailor my tuition to their individual needs and strengths, constantly adapting and adjusting, according to their feedback and progress. |

| Personal Description: I'm an enthusiastic and open to new challenges teacher, optimistic, positive, easy-going and happy. I search to make teaching an enjoyable activity opening new horizons for anyone who has decided to study foreign languages as it happened in my life. Speaking languages is a great opportunity to get to know the world around you and the world within yourself. I fluently speak English, Spanish and Russian. I have extensively travelled to Spain and I have also worked with Spanish and South American companies. In my position of a freelance interpreter for Prestige Network I performed verbal interpretation from and to English, Spanish and Russian. In my free time I like reading, travelling and taking pictures. I completed a course in photography in the Regional Culture and Art College in Saint-Petersburg. |
Teaching Experience: I received my higher education in the Russian State Pedagogical University named after Alexander Herzen at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, one of the best linguistic faculties of the country. I studied at the department of Spanish language and continued my studies of English as a second language. After graduation I worked as the office manager and interpreter and acquired communicative and organizational skills in what concerned the functioning of an office, discussing everyday matters with the staff, calling customers. I studied a course in teaching Spanish in the summer courses for foreign teachers organised by the University of Zaragoza. I started my teaching career in 2002 giving individual lessons. It helped me to receive experience in lesson planning, providing didactic materials, developing communicative skills of students and attending to their interests and requirements. I completed a PGCE course at University of Winchester and worked as a School Direct trainee teacher at Westgate School in Winchester from September 2021 until June 2022. I taught Spanish and French in years 7-11, planning and delivering lessons, carrying out assessment and marking, preparing pupils for their GCSE examinations. As a tutor, I helped students to prepare for their A Level examinations which enabled them to receive highest marks. |
Tutoring Approach: I give individual and group lessons according to the requirements of my students. The duration may vary from 1 to 3 hours, where I combine conversational practice with grammar, I usually include all aspects of language learning such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. My principal aim is to achieve effective communication in the language I teach. I stick to the principle: learning is fun. There should not be any boredom in the classroom. Every lesson is supposed to be enjoyable and provide more resources for the motivation of the students and me as a teacher. I have mastered certain techniques necessary for teaching online. I have made myself familiar with a broad range of online resources and electronic educational material. I am open to suggestions and flexible in my schedule. I am also very patient and understanding. Learning foreign languages is a challenging, laborious process which with some dedication can become very rewarding and I am proud to contribute to it. |

| Personal Description: I am a hardworking, enthusiastic mother of a 3 year old boy. I am a Primary School Teacher and have worked with many children in variety of settings and roles. I am versatile and good at adapting to new situations. I am reliable and punctual and fair. I enjoy being with my family, caravan holidays, reading, watching a good film or series, swimming and going to Church. I am always keen to learn more and develop my knowledge of how children learn and develop through keeping myself updated with new initiatives and taking part in CPD training on various subjects. I also have a keen interest in History and read many books around the subject. |
Teaching Experience: I have worked with children since leaving school, it was always something I was passionate about. I became a Nursery Nurse and worked in a Nursery settings for a time and worked my way up to Base Room Manager. I worked for a long time in a Private Preparatory school as a Teaching Assistant where I completed my Degree in Early Years Education. I then took a year out of work to undertake my PGCE to become a Qualified Primary School Teacher. I worked in a school in Ashford for my NQT year and then worked in a school in Stanwell for the next 4 years until I had my son, who is now nearly 3 years old. Since my son was born, I have worked as a nanny for families who allow a nanny with own child. My last role was for nearly 2 years but unfortunately my role was made redundant because the parents are now working from home and they no longer needed the level of support they needed before COVID. They will happily give me a reference if you would like to ask for details. I am currently working with a family of 5 for 3 afternoons a week providing wrap around care. I also tutor their son who is 9 years old. He has made significant progress with his reading and writing. In the last 4 years I have been tutoring primary aged children at the weekends, in school holidays, through lockdown and after school two days a week. I can provide references. I have taught both face to face and over zoom. I am currently tutoring a child over zoom who is 5 years old. I make my lessons fun and engaging and she has made significant progress in phonics and maths. I have an extensive knowledge of Teaching Phonics. I am interested in Tutoring internationally. I have had some experience of working with a child from China. I supported him with his learning from age 5-7 years. I also supported him with learning English. My availability is mainly limited to daytime so my services may suit a child who is Home Educated. |
Tutoring Approach: I enjoy tutoring children because it means I can give them my undivided attention which means I can understand that particular child's knowledge and skills on a far deeper level. This is where my Early Years background really helps as I can identify different learning styles and adapt the way I teach to suit each child. This is very much a part of the Early Years Curriculum so I am used to being reflective and using different strategies to help children learn to the best of their ability. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to see how children grow and learn and most of all gain in confidence so they are able to learn more effectively in all their subjects. Throughout the session I will assess the child's progress and use this information to plan for the next session. As the spiral curriculum dictates I will also revisit past learning to ensure the child has a firm grasp of the concepts that have been taught previously. This is very important because often or not learning is lost in school because schools do not have time to go over lessons which results in children developing gaps in their learning. I am confident with both face to face and on-line lessons. |
