Personal Description:
I am an experienced and qualified TEFL teacher who is passionate about making a positive difference in others and thoroughly enjoy teaching. I also teach GCSE English students.
I currently have 6 students who have weekly English Zoom lessons with me. The students are from Spain, Romania and England.
I love walking, ballet, reading, history and travelling.
I am outgoing, enthusiastic and organised.
Since moving to Honeybourne, Worcestershire I give regular Yoga classes at the village hall.
My students have gone from strength to strength and 2 of them (both Spanish teenagers) were selected by their school to attend a one week placement at the United Nations earlier this year.

Teaching Experience:
I qualified as a TEFL teacher in 2001 and have been giving regular English lessons to Spanish, Romanian and English students for the past 22 years, in Spain, Italy and the UK. Most classes are private on a one to one basis, but I am more than happy to give group or small classes.
I have taught many professional people and also those studying for exams.
I am also been a ballet and yoga teacher.

Tutoring Approach:
I treat each student differently depending on their needs and goals. My goal is to make the lessons enjoyable, with a mixture of grammar, speaking (pronunciation ) and listening. I normally ask for some homework to be completed between classes which may include keeping a daily diary of events and/or a composition.
I believe I am successful in building confidence, enthusiasm and motivation towards learning English.
I believe that my commitment to my students and their hard work has resulted in excellent results for them.

Personal Description:
I specialize in Piano lessons for children and adults, from beginners to advanced level of performance.
I teach piano, music theory and music history both privately and in school. I have a Post Graduate from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and Masters Degree in piano and teaching. I am a fully qualified teacher with QTS and DBS.

Personal Description:
I am a computing teacher in Primary Education (can teach up to GCSE), and have both teaching and industry experience.

Teaching Experience:
I am an 'Outstanding' computing teacher in a large London primary school. I have a reputation amongst local schools for running ambitious projects, often attracting media attention. The projects have included building a Laser Maze, launching a Raspberry Pi into near-space, and building a working weather station.

Tutoring Approach:

Personal Description:
I am a recent Biology (with a Year in Industry) graduate from the University of York. I enjoy making a difference and seeing people grow so am excited by the prospect of making a difference through tutoring.

I loved my studies at university and focussed on Ecology subjects in my second and third years, having explore the subject area much more broadly in my first year.

In my spare time I enjoy getting out exploring the outdoors, particularly Dartmoor.

Teaching Experience:
- Assisted with the teaching of prospective students at university, giving them an insight into university life
- Have been involved in teaching French to primary school students on a weekly basis during my A-levels

Tutoring Approach:
I believe in an approach connects the curriculum together. I often find one small area of weakness can affect the understanding and enjoyment of a much larger area of the subject. By improving in this area I hope students are able to understand the subject as a whole and flourish in the classroom.

Personal Description:
I am a 19 year old student at the University of St Andrews who is studying International Relations. Previously, I have studied English Literature at both GCSE and A-Level, as well as English Language at GCSE. I have been an avid lover of literature and books for many years, and it led me to write book reviews for Waterstones, win creative writing awards out of hundreds of candidates, obtain an internship at an international charity whereby I wrote their weekly blogs, and most importantly it gave me the ability to teach others and share my passion. I have a particular interest in Shakespeare, poetry and literary fiction - all of which are elements seen within the syllabus at all levels of the subject.

Teaching Experience:
During COVID, I aided a disabled student on the subject of English during the quarantine, assisting him on both his schoolwork and reading outside of his curriculum.
I have previously tutored English as a holistic subject to a Primary School KS2 student for two years, following them from Year 5 to 6 in preparation for their SATs. She went on to do exceptionally well in her exams.
I am currently tutoring a Year 9, going onto Year 10, student in English Literature in preparation for their GCSE's. More specifically, I am assisting him on the Paper 4 play of Inspector Calls by J.B Priestley.

Tutoring Approach:
Before tutoring begins, I offer a 15 minute consultation where we may get to know each other and see if you believe I would be a good fit for your student. In this consultation I will ask questions surrounding your strengths and weaknesses in the subject, why you believe you need tutoring, and what in particular you struggle with. With this information in mind, I structure my lessons according to your needs.
During lessons, I combine technique, exam guidance and syllabus structure to ensure full marks and exam-level preparation, as well as prioritising the students thoughts on the text, prose or play, as ultimately English is not rigid nor is it objective.
Combining my in-depth experience in the subject and great passion for it, I am able to offer one-on-one, catered and specialised tutoring to each student to maximise their English learning experience and grades. My approach is ensuring the student is in a welcoming, fun and educational environment where they feel both comfortable and excited to learn about the subject.

Personal Description:
I'm Oliver - I have a passion for all things English and am looking for tutees happy to work over Zoom / Teams etc, either on weekday evenings or weekend mornings.

I hold a BA in English from The University of Liverpool and an MA also in English Literature.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught English for 9 years now across a number of schools in Merseyside and London. I currently work as a Lead Practitioner of English and Lead for Key Stage 4, though I have also previously led in my school on Key Stage 5 English Literature also.

I have also marked extensively at GCSE and A Level for the AQA exam board - so I know what students need to do to achieve marks - and have had a lot of success previously with predicting exam questions for GCSE Literature.

My particular specialisms are GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature and A Level English Literature, particularly within the AQA specifications. I can be particularly of help also with the following set texts: Macbeth, Romeo
And Juliet, A Christmas Carol, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, An Inspector Calls, Power and Conflict Poetry.

Tutoring Approach:
I conduct tutoring sessions over zoom / teams etc. ideally in one or two hour slots so that progress can be made. To make the most of your time I like to get the tutee to do small bits of work in this time so that I can offer immediate feedback.
