Personal Description:
I am a Head Of Science at a London school. I teach from age ranges 11 to 19 and have over 13 years of experience. The science department got the highest results in the whole school last academic year with the majority attaining over their target grades. A lot of other tutors do not actually have a teaching qualification.
I am friendly, positive and always aim to achieve the best, and so expect the same from students.
Hard work = success
I am very enthusiastic about learning and can make it fun. I have a range of study methods, that can be adapted to suite many people of different backgrounds. I lead and coordinate all science and triple science and ks3 science.
I am a lively and bubbly person that can get along with people of all ages.

Teaching Experience:

Science teacher- Head of science department and specialist in Chemistry with 13 years experience.
Tutored many students with exceptional outcomes.

Tutoring Approach:

Myself I have experienced having a tutor in subjects I struggled with. Tutoring gives students the chance to have one on one interaction and 100 % attention, which students don't always get in a class environment. It enables them to ask questions freely, and go over work again and again until they are fully happy they have a good understanding. Extra tuition can give students greater self confidence when back in the class room.

Qualifications:
MEDICINAL AND BIOLOCIAL CHEMISTRY DEGREE- 1ST CLASS HONS
A LEVELS- CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS & BIOLOGY, MATHS
10 GCSE'S INCLD- MATHS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY & PHYSICS

Personal Description:
I have graduated in BSc hons psychology and health science at 2.1. I have passed A levels in psychology, biology and chemistry. I can provide a recent CRB enhanced disclosure certificate for myself. I have completed a PGCE Chemistry at Liverpool John Moores University. I am a qualified Psychology and Science teacher. I am now teaching science at a High school within a Science department.

Teaching Experience:

In the past, I worked for 'Mad Science' as a Science Presenter. I provided learning experiences delivering 1-hr sessions of interactive experiments and educational demonstrations to instil a clearer understanding of scientific concepts (i.e. forces, measuring, and chemistry) for children aged 7-11yrs. There was an Initial guided training session followed by self-directed learning of experiments using a manual and science kits.
I have been teaching for 11 years within mainstream secondary schools. I am now working at a school in Yorkshire as a Science/Psychology teacher to KS3, KS4 and KS5.
I can tutor adult learners who want to pass the biology or science a star equivalency test.

Tutoring Approach:

Many methods of teaching are used within my lessons, in sync with the curriculum. Methods include visual, auditory and interaction: powerpoint presentations, videos, sound clips, going through a book, role play. Tutoring should be a fun learning environment in which the student feels comfortable.
I offer online interactive lessons via zoom and Microsoft teams.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced teacher who moved back to my home in Chichester 18 months ago having spent the previous 11 years teaching in an IAPS school in Nairobi, Kenya. Before that I taught at Westbourne House Prep School for 9 years as a Year 2 class teacher. I am an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated teacher and I enjoy building up trust and loyalty with children so that they can be filled with confidence when learning. I enjoy adapting my teaching skills to suit their individual learning styles and I am particularly interested in all aspects of Literacy

Teaching Experience:

My roles have included Class teacher, Literacy Coordinator for Years 2, 3 and 4 as well as Year 3 Coordinator from 2011 - 2017. I have also taught children who speak English as a secondary, rather than their primary language. I make my maths teaching fun and I am able to help those who are having difficulty with any subject within the National curriculum as well as those who may need challenging.

Tutoring Approach:

I regard tutoring as an ideal way to encourage children to reach their potential, to help children enjoy learning so that they look forward to what they are going to learn next, to build up trust and friendship with each child and to work together with the child's parents encouraging confidence and self-esteem within the child.

Personal Description:
I am 46 years old and have more than 20 years of teaching experience. I am currently working full time as a teacher of health and Social care, Sociology and Criminology and I also tutor Psychology on a one to one basis. My passion is in understanding people and behaviour as reflected in my degree choice of Social Psychology. I am dedicated to inspiring learners to reach their full potential and am available evenings, weekends and holidays. I am able to work at home or in the pupil's home and can travel up to about 10 miles.

Teaching Experience:

I have a wide experience of working with pupils of many different ages, in small and large groups and on an individual basis, some of whom have learning difficulties. I have also tutored KS1 and KS2 Math's and English. I started my teaching career in further education teaching health and social care BTEC and then moved to working in secondary schools firstly in the 6th form teaching HCS, A Level Sociology and Extended Project, and then KS4 teaching child development GCSE, health and social care BTEC and sociology GCSE. I have tutored outside of school on and off for a number of years within a tutoring centre and freelance.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to create a supportive and dynamic learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and challenge their understanding of the subject matter, where they feel as comfortable as possible and are able to develop their confidence in being able to answer questions without the worry of getting it wrong. I think it is important to be able to develop positive relationships with good clear communication and professional boundaries where the tutee understands that they are also responsible for their own learning and have to put in as much work as their tutor does.

Personal Description:
Deepening mathematical understanding: from building foundational basics to guiding exceptional talent to truly flourish.

I am a highly motivated and capable mathematics graduate of the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick working full-time as a maths tutor, teaching mostly A/AS Level, STEP, and MAT with some GCSE. I get along well with students using a friendly enthusiastic manner and patient guidance, allowing me to engage them in a subject that many (sadly) find difficult or tedious to deal with. I've had significant success helping students to see why this subject is exciting and beautiful as well as extremely useful. Passing a maths exam can be stressful and overwhelming at times. With my help a student can learn not just all the material they need, but also efficient, reliable and (most importantly) intuitive approaches to thinking about the topics/problems. Students often cite both my enthusiasm and clarity as having really benefited them. I really genuinely enjoy sharing the passion I have for maths with others, I have the best job in the world!

Additionally, if a student is looking to really excel to the highest level I also have extensive experience here. I have helped many students through challenging entrance exams, provided wider mathematical enrichments (e.g. mathematical history, computing theory, learning mathematics from around the world etc.), and even taught several child prodigies taking exams or going to university early. I'm very knowledgeable about a huge variety of advanced areas of mathematics, and will be able to have proper discussions far beyond the syllabus when children ask the deep philosophical questions that curious minds wonder about. I can put all of this into a broad mathematical context and get into proper depth about how mathematicians think and the meaning(s) of ideas, and the rich world of mathematics beyond rote memorisation at school.

Generally I'm flexible and time can be found on most days as this job is my sole focus. Let me know what times are good for you and I can see what fits in.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 5000 hours, spread across 9 years of experience tutoring in this area (and related, e.g. STEP papers, international baccalaureate, entrance exams, MAT, GMAT, maths challenge, adult learning, university lecture courses).

I can quote you some happy text messages that came after this year`s results (names removed):
