Personal Description:
I have recently graduated as a Doctor of Performance Studies at Goldsmiths College. I am a published academic: three essays of mine have been published by Oxford University Press. I teach English to adult and university level students.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a teacher for ten years and have taught at Berlitz London, and at schools in Reading, Bournemouth and Greenwich. I also teach for the agencies Conversation Piece and Executive Language Tutors. I have taught groups and individuals, both face to face and on Skype.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor my lessons to the needs of the student, and can teach academic, business or colloquial English. Many students come to Britain with high grades in their exams, and then find that they cannot understand half of the conversations that they hear. To this kind of student I can teach sland, colloquial English and also about dialects, such as London English (or Cockney as it is known.) I use written, spoken and listening exercises, and discuss registers: when to be formal, when to be casual and so on.
