Teaching Experience: Teaching Experience: Since I have been a student all my life so did not get a chance to tutor. However I have experience to work with young people as a "Tutor" in the state run TRIO program in USA. This job has given me a clear understanding and significance of a good education, promoting effective learning, teaching and personal development. This first hand skill of working with children of school age has made me patient, tolerant and has also given me an ability to respond positively to special educational needs. Having this experience would definitely facilitate me to translate my knowledge better to pupils and that surely would aid them to understand the basic concepts. I have taught the undergrads in Virginia State University, USA under the state run TRIO program |
Tutoring Approach: open to new ideas, initiator, like the tutee to solve the problem himself, but be a good guide,I believe in teaching patiently and with dedication. My approach to teaching is straightforward and begins with generating questions and curiosity within young people's minds so that they can think well. |

Personal Description: I am a student in my gap year who wants to provide educational support to young children as well as GCSE students as I know how stressful it could be. |
Teaching Experience: I have taught at a few tutoring institutions throughout London such as Cumon.I also have privately tutored some other children. |
Tutoring Approach: I am willing to share your own experiences. By sharing information about what I have encountered, the student may feel relieved that they are not alone. Sharing experiences and lessons learned goes a long way toward building trust and support. It also helps the student build self-confidence which I firmly believe motivates students and initiates a sense of optimism. |

Personal Description: Hi! I'm Rayyan- a second year architecture student at Cardiff University. As I did my A Levels and GCSEs in different schools, I am familiar with AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I am passionate when it comes to teaching as it is something I believe is rewarding to both the student and the tutor. It has instilled patience and communication within me among other qualities necessary for the role and I am looking forward to passing knowledge onwards! |
Teaching Experience: I used to tutor GCSE and A Level students at my college to prepare them for their maths assessments from which they benefitted a lot in the lead-up to their examinations. I also used to be a liaison for 2 years working with year 8-9 kids in a classroom environment. My job was to guide and teach them, on a collective and individual scale, revision techniques, exam preparation and carry out weekly activities with the class in order to provoke thoughts for their futures and improve their teamwork, communication and academic skills. |
Tutoring Approach: Teaching method (open to be altered according to the student, however my default teaching method is as follows): - Short walkthrough of the module topic with QnA throughout to ensure the topic is understood - Exploring and answering example questions together - Exam questions for the student to attempt and walk through the answer together (we go through questions until the student is comfortable with the topic and is able to move on) |

Personal Description: I define myself as an introvert, enthusiastic about my subjects and organised. As a teacher, I prioritise relationship building and getting to know the students in front of me, the ones I teach. I am organised and reliable when it comes to giving access to content taught or practice sheets and approachable. |
Teaching Experience: I have extensive experience in teaching, starting from 2018 when I first worked as an after school activity leader for a STEM business. I delivered these sessions mainly to primary school children year 5,6. Further down the line I worked as a cover supervisor for a few years when I interacted with a range of different age groups ranging from 12 all the way to 18 year olds. I worked in all through SEN school before having also gained some experience with SEND children and young teenagers. Furthermore in more recent years I worked with a summer school as a Business tutor where I taught international students Business concepts and applying these to a live Dragon's Den type of project. Lots to skills picked up here such as knowing how to interract with students that don't have English as their first language as well as bringing to the lessons a variety of brands that students can familiarise themselves with in the UK - for students who may wish to study in the UK, in future. I am now currently a fully qualified Business Teacher in Ware, England. |
Tutoring Approach: ever since starting tutoring my aim has always been to cater to the needs of the tutee. i.e. I have tutored Spanish A level in the past so the aim here was to improve at grammar skills, therefore the focus of the tutoring sessions would mostly be on exam preparation questions, topics that may come up and then 15-2o mins of the session would focus on other areas such as speaking, listening, reading, writing. I always offer the tutee to travel to them so it is all done in their own comfort. As a person I am good at picking up on areas for development and find creative ways to bridge the gaps. I am very informal as a tutor and relaxed, flexible. |
