Teaching Experience:
I was involved in conducting the training camp for the selection of the team that represented Pakistan in the 36th International Physics Olympiad, held in Spain. I was involved in conducting exams, practicals, marking, teaching as well as coordinating tutorials sessions with professors.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to take a practical approach to teaching. I want to give an intuitive feel to the students to help him grasp complex concepts. I do this by giving everyday examples to highlight the subjects under study. I want to
make science fun, cool and intuitive for students and remove the myth and misconceived perception that it is difficult and boring. If the teaching approach is correct, there is no reason why students will not be thrilled by laws and mechanisms of universe.

Personal Description:
My name is Leon and I provide tuition for maths and computer science to make these subjects easier to understand and fun to learn.
Using my experience in teaching and commercial application of these subjects, I am able to provide a thorough perspective that extends beyond the limitations of traditional classroom lessons. By presenting context for how maths and computer science concepts are used in the real world, I am able to make these subjects easier to understand with a complete explanation for how they are used to solve problems that everyone can relate to.
Self belief is the biggest obstacle preventing people from achieving their full potential. By using my learning techniques and support, I can help you to overcome difficulties created by learning anxiety, dyslexia and dyscalculia that lead to your potential being underestimated. By deconstructing the unnecessary jargon and written notation behind maths and computing, I help students to exceed expectations and achieve the highest grades in as little as 12 weeks.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught maths and computing as a professional tutor and commercial trainer for over 10 years. My lessons can also be tailored to cover exam preparation for all major exam boards, including AQA, CEA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC.
The following are the subject levels that I have experience of teaching:
Maths:
- Key Stage 3
- GCSE
- Functional Skills
Computer Science:
- Key Stage 3
- GCSE
- A-Level
- Degree
- Master's degree.
Tutoring Approach:
Whatever your reasons for considering tuition, my lessons can be custom designed to extend your potential to achieve the highest grade possible. Whether you're already a high performer or you find maths / computing a challenge to understand, my custom lesson plans allow you to learn at a pace that suits your individual requirements.
By avoiding the use of technical jargon and complicated notation, my lessons present concepts in a format that's easy to understand and practise. Each lesson is designed for you to achieve the following learning objectives:
- Understand a specific concept.
- Perform the concept.
- Write the concept as maths notation or programming code.
- Develop exam technique.
Using custom digital learning tools, you will be exposed to a hands on approach to learning the concepts behind maths and computing. My lessons begin with a visual presentation explaining the focus topic, followed by interactive exercises that help you to experiment, express and reinforce your understanding. With my support and collaboration, each exercise challenges you to describe and refine your thinking process to solve a puzzle using the skills taught in the presentation.
Once you are confident in your ability, the lesson progresses to applying your understanding of the concepts to creating and understanding written notation and code. This stage of the lesson prepares you with the ability to work with exam questions and other assessments that you are preparing for.
The most important component of effective tuition is your ability to practise between lessons. To help you gain the most benefit from my tuition, the digital learning exercises are made available to you as a practise tool between lessons. My learning tools also allow you to receive feedback on your practise throughout the week or during the next lesson.

Personal Description:
I love skiing, horse riding, walking with my dog. dancing Salsa, Ceroc, Bachata and Kizomba. I also enjoy learning a new language
Teaching Experience:
I hold Certifcate in Education. I have been teaching English as a Second Language since May 2007. The students would stay at my house for a week or up to eight weeks. I have also taught Maths, Biology, Science, History, Geography and Physics to GCSE level.
I believe that every child has the ability to learn given the right tuition and guidance. Patience maybe required in order to explain a point in several different ways for the student to understand it.
I enjoy teaching English as it is the language of the world, the internet and the language that is spoken by the most number of countries. I find the enjoyment comes when some who can't speak or pronounce English well at first become confident and fluent over time.
I like to make my lessons fun and excited, as I believe that a lesson that is boring will not be remembered by the students.
I have learnt over the course of my teaching that students are individuals and cannot be taught the same. What works for one student will not necessarily work for another. Every course can and should be adjusted to suit the different student.
My classes would be packed full of fun with the intention of energizing everyone in it. I like my students to participate fully in the class, so that they are able to get the most out of their time with me. They should not realize the time because they are enjoying the interaction with me and the other students, if not a one to one scenario.

Personal Description:
My philosophy is embedded in valuing children to increase well-being and their intrinsic motivation to develop and learn. I support children in reading, writing and phonics from 3 years and throughout the primary phase through purposeful, engaging and interactive activities.
I hold a First-Class BA Hons degree in English and graduated as a mature student whilst raising three children and working part time. This achievement was celebrated by the Open University in their publications, in the local press and I was asked to speak on local radio. I went on to gain a Post Graduate Certificate of Education with Qualified Teacher Status and studied English as a special interest area; gaining an A grade pass at master's level for my research into promoting and developing children as readers. I also write children's poetry and have had several poems published.
Teaching Experience:
I am a raising attainment adviser for a local authority and have been involved in borough wide school improvement for several years. I have developed outstanding teaching practice and leadership skills throughout Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I am an experienced EYFS Leader and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator and a Specialist Leader of Education for Early Years. As an Assistant Headteacher, I have supported other teachers and been a Newly Qualified Teacher mentor and performance appraiser. I have worked across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as an English and Reading Leader and have introduced new curriculums with improved outcomes in phonics and reading and writing across key stages and in statutory assessments.
Tutoring Approach:
I tutor from a purpose built, dedicated learning environment which is fully equipped with high quality resources. The resources I use are tailored to your child's needs and learning style to make them feel motivated and encourage a 'can-do' attitude. There are also private waiting facilities adjacent to the room for parents or carers wishing to stay during tuition. I ensure that I thoroughly assess each child so that teaching and learning is bespoke to their next steps. This allows for maximum progress and the best results possible. I have a very positive attitude and my intention to make children feel like 'experts' encourages them to succeed. I have a real passion for English which comes through my teaching and learning and enjoyment and celebration within lessons are at the core of what I do.

Hello, my name is Milo. I am undertaking a Masters in Astrophysics at the University of Cambridge, having just achieved a First Class Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences. I have a high proficiency in Physics and Maths and am an experienced teacher. I also offer tutoring in Chemistry, for which I was awarded the Salters Advanced Chemistry Award for my outstanding A level performance.
Teaching Experience:
I have three years experience tutoring Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics for GCSE, A level, IB and University admissions. This includes experience with all the major UK exam boards including AQA, OCR, Edexcel. I am represented by a tutoring agency called BridgeTutors who will provide free graphics tablet when you start lessons with me.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching conceptual misunderstandings is that any idea can be understood by anyone, as long as it is deconstructed into small enough steps and that the student is walked through each step at the correct pace. During lessons, I guide students through past paper questions, building their confidence as they apply their knowledge to real-life situations. For exams, I believe that active recall (recalling and using information from memory alone) and studying mark schemes are the best way to revise.

Personal Description:
Hello, My name is Lincoln, I graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. I am presently a master's student at Newcastle University, pursuing a master's in Applied Mathematics. I worked as a teacher assistant during my school days in Math classes and supported students who had difficulties with the subject. I think Mathematics is accessible to all; we only need to discover the best methods of presenting the concepts as educators. I assist my students in boosting their confidence when tackling new questions and encourage them to utilize their creativity alongside their knowledge when confronting a challenging problem. Remember that studying Mathematics revolves around making errors and gaining knowledge from those errors.
I have participated in numerous Mathematics Olympiads as well. I've studied Mathematics thoroughly from the start, which means I also instruct my students in a way that encourages understanding Mathematics, NOT rote memorization
Teaching Experience:
I specialise in tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology from KS1 up to A-Levels. My teaching experience includes both one-to-one sessions and group classes in tuition centres, which has given me a deep understanding of how personalised support can significantly enhance a student's grasp of challenging subjects. My lessons are structured to ensure clarity, engagement, and complete understanding of each topic covered.
I strive to create a positive and motivating learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, challenge themselves, and develop a resilient approach to their studies. Drawing from my own academic journey, I aim to instil not only subject knowledge but also the habits and mindset necessary for long-term academic success
Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are carefully tailored to suit your individual learning style and the subject you're working on. Whether it's tackling tricky equations in Maths, breaking down complex processes in Biology, or making sense of chemical reactions in Chemistry-I'll adapt the lesson to what you need. We might walk through exam-style questions together or go through past papers-whatever helps you learn best.
Every session starts with checking your understanding of the topic so we can focus on the areas where you need the most support. I don't believe in rushing through the syllabus just to get it done. Instead, I take the time to break difficult concepts into simple, manageable chunks that actually stick.
I also aim to make learning enjoyable and meaningful. I'll show you how these subjects connect to real life, explain things clearly and simply, and keep you motivated every step of the way. With over three years of tutoring experience, I know how to build your confidence and help you improve-fast.
If you're ready to boost your GCSE grades in Maths, Biology, or Chemistry, book a lesson with me and let's get started. One session could be the turning point!

Hi there!
My name is Beth, I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I managed to receive 8 grade 9s during my GCSEs and 1 grade 8, as well as 3 As in my A levels (Maths, Physics and Graphic Communications). In the future I'm hoping to work in robotics/prosthetics, and I have such a genuine interest in both maths and physics (especially space and quantum!). I also love cooking and playing basketball.
Teaching Experience:
On top of my tutoring experience, I've just returned from my second year working at a youth summer camp in Canada. Here I was required to teach the kids wilderness survival skills, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, arts and crafts, and plenty more! We were also required to teach them leadership qualities and responsibilities, as well as fun camp songs and dances, with everything being very interactive.
Tutoring Approach:
My personal approach to tutoring is a mixture of interactive learning and individual work, making sure to cover all of the required content and keeping a large focus on past exam papers. Depending on what's needed, I like to focus on weaker areas before providing a more general overview, then fine tuning everything closer to the exam period.

Personal Description:
I have a PhD in Probability Theory from the University of Warwick and am currently a research Data Scientist in the crop science sector and a supervisor and an affiliate lecturer at the University of Cambridge. My training is in theoretical mathematics but I love the applied side of maths and coding (modelling, data analysis, etc.).
Teaching Experience:
I have 20 years of experience teaching mathematics, from A-level students to postgraduates at UK's top universities (Cambridge, Oxford, Warwick,...). I have taught both in a private capacity as well as in a university setting (tutorials, Oxbridge style supervisions, drop-in sessions, workshops).
Tutoring Approach:
Lessons are tailored to the student's needs but the fundamental underlying principle is usually gaining some intuition for and understanding of the underlying theory before tackling practical problems. Demystifying a formula goes a long way to making one feel comfortable using it!
At a university/professional level my specialties are:
- Statistics
- Probability Theory
- Machine Learning/Data Science
- Scientific Computing (R/Python)
But do get in touch if you are interested in another area of maths!

Personal Description:
I'm a maths tutor based in Hounslow, London, with about a year of experience working with young people. Most of my work has been one-to-one and in small groups, through ChalkDuster, Brunel University London, and Queen Mary University of London.
I mainly teach math to KS2, KS3, and KS4 GCSE students. A lot of what I do is help students with topics they've struggled with in class and explain things in a different way until it finally clicks for them. I've worked with a mix of students, including some with SEN and SEMH needs, so I'm used to adjusting how I teach depending on the person in front of me.
One thing I care about is building confidence. A lot of students come to me feeling anxious about math or thinking they're just "not a math person." I try to create a relaxed environment where it's okay to get things wrong and where we work through problems step by step until we feel more sure of ourselves.
My own background is in math, science, and computer science, and I hold a master's in cloud computing. I enjoy tutoring because I like seeing the moment a student goes from feeling stuck to actually understanding something. I'm looking for tutoring work where I can keep doing that and keep improving as a teacher.
Teaching Experience:
I've been tutoring math for about a year now, across a few different places.
Right now I'm working as a teaching assistant with Queen Mary University of London on their outreach program. I run maths sessions for KS3 and KS4 students and visit partner schools to support students one-to-one and in small groups. I mostly help them work through topics they've found tricky in class. Working alongside the lead tutors has taught me a lot about planning a lesson, managing a room, and keeping students engaged when the maths gets harder.
I also work as a teaching assistant at Brunel University London, supporting math sessions for KS2, KS3, and KS4 students. I sit in while the lead teacher introduces a topic, then step in to help the students who are finding it harder to follow or who need it explained a different way. Working closely with experienced teachers has been really useful for picking up classroom management.
Before this, I worked as a mathematics tutor at ChalknDuster, teaching KS2 to KS4. I planned and delivered lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum, focused on exam techniques and closing gaps in students' knowledge. A big part of my job there was building confidence and helping students who had a lot of math anxiety.
I also did weekly tutoring with WeSolveProblems through the University of Leicester, working with students in years 6 to 11 on core topics like algebra, geometry, and number, as well as exam-style problem solving.
Across all of these, I've mostly done one-to-one and small-group work, which is the kind of teaching I enjoy most.
Tutoring Approach:
My main goal is to help students actually understand what they're doing, not just memorise steps to pass a test. So I try to explain the "why" behind the math, not only the "how."
Every student is different, so the first thing I do is work out where they're at and where the gaps are. Some students just need a topic explained in a different way, while others have missed something earlier on and need to go back and fill that in first. Once I understand that, I can adjust how I teach to suit them.
I like to keep sessions relaxed. A lot of students feel anxious about math or think they're "just not good at it," so I try to make it okay to get things wrong. We work through problems step by step, and I get the student to do as much of the thinking as possible rather than just watching me solve it. When they get stuck, I ask questions to guide them instead of giving the answer straight away.
I also try to build confidence as we go. I point out what they've done well, set work that's challenging but not overwhelming, and celebrate the small wins. Over time, this helps students feel more sure of themselves and more willing to try.
When it comes to exams, I make sure we cover the right techniques and practice past-paper-style questions so students know what to expect and feel prepared.
In the end, I want students to leave a session feeling like they understand more than they did before and a bit more confident about math in general.
