Personal Description:
Hello! I am Ananya, a 20 Years Old from India and I have been teaching since the year 2021. I have always been in love with teaching and getting to know young talented people and helping them start and shape their journey as musicians. I have been performing since the age of 3 and have learnt various genres such as Indian Classical Voice, Western Classical Voice, Pop and Musical Theatre. I have finished my Diploma in Music from KM Music Conservatory in Chennai, India and am currently pursuing BA Music Honours from Middlesex University in Hendon. I have also Performed for The South Pacific Alliance and the Brazillian Embassy. I have also performed a solo piece and 3 choir pieces in the Concert for Friendship which was a concert held to showcase the friendship between the UK and India. I am a very dedicated teacher and Performer and I hope to help students out with their musical journey.

Teaching Experience:

I started my private practice in the year 2021 and garnered around 4 to 5 students. I also started working for 2 academies in India from the year 2022. In May 2022 I started working for The Rock iTigers which is a music, sport and fine arts academy. I worked part time as a Vocal Coach and taught online classes. I teach both Group Classes and Individual Classes. In November of 2022, I started working at Brooks Musicals as a part time Vocal Coach which is a Chennai based Academy where I taught Group Classes in an Offline setting and still teach private classes in Online Setting.

I believe in teaching music in a way that doesn't feel like a lesson. I usually start my classes off with a bit of exercise and movement. I often bring short plays to class to make the students understand how to emote songs and make board games to help the students understand music theory concepts in a more interactive way.
