Complete beginners to grade 8. Hour Lesson £25 Half Hour Lesson £15 (Travel Supplement: £0.35 per mile up to 20 miles. This won`t apply if I can teach you en route to one of my schools.) Tutoring Approach: I tailor my lesson to the individual I am teaching. Young children, adults, beginners and advanced all require a different approach. In addition, everyone has their own goal and aspirations. Many of my pupils want to me to take them through ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall music examinations (either Classical or Jazz) but others prefer not to. Some pupils need help with performance pieces for their GCSE Music. Some pupils want theory tuition to enable them to pass their grade 5 ABRSM theory exam and go on to higher grades on a different instrument. Many of my retired adult learners simply want to play for pleasure and are aiming to be able to play a particular piece or in a particular musical style. I am enthusiastic about music teaching and like to encourage everyone to 'have a go' and enjoy making music! |

| Personal Description: ¡Hola! My name is Estefanía and I am a native speaker of Spanish from Madrid. I absolutely adore learning languages and I try to improve them everyday. My motto is that teachers should never stop learning their subjects so that their students can get the cream of the crop in every single lesson. I would say one of my strongest points is that I speak fluent English so I would not have any problem to switch back to your language if something is not completely understood, and it is also great if you have just started to learn the language! |
Teaching Experience: I have a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish), as well as a Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). Before coming to England, I worked as an English private tutor in Spain for more than 4 years so I have large experience in teaching foreign languages. I have tutored students from all ages, especially children and young adults so I know what teaching approaches and activities can work best depending on the age group. |
Tutoring Approach: My lessons are carefully designed to address each student's needs so please do not hesitate to let me know what your objectives are! Whether passing your Spanish GCSE or being able to chat with locals in your next trip to Spain, I will definitely give my very best to help you achieve your goal. |

| Personal Description: I am a very experienced French teacher from Normandy and a keen learner of foreign languages. I believe in the importance of learning languages and finding out about other cultures, after all learning a language is a bridge to understand others. |
Teaching Experience: I have a broad, rich and long experience in teaching French/business French. I have taught French (all levels) for many years and I really enjoy teaching, passing on my knowledge of the French language and culture as well as having challenges through the teaching of French. I tutor my students privately online (TEAMS) and I am currently preparing some students for their GCSE and A Level examinations. I have worked as a French teacher for many years. I started this profession when I worked in various Adult Education Centres in Kent. In addition, I taught Business French for the Automobile Association (AA) and Kimberly-Clark. I also worked as a French language assistant for an Art and Design College (Erasmus students) and for the Open University. I taught French at Bath college and Languages United, both located in Bath city centre. My main skills are: strong communication skills, dedication, positive attitude, guiding my students so that they can learn better. |
Tutoring Approach: I teach French online using TEAMS and from the first lesson I speak as much French as possible as I believe tutoring in the target language is crucial to learn any language. Of course, when explaining key grammatical points I do explain in French and English to make sure my students understand. My lessons are relaxed and well structured. I start each lessons by revising the vocabulary seen during the previous lesson followed by a general discussion. We then work on specific documents or grammatical points, texts for general conversation and/or precise topics/grammar/tenses when covering GCSE and A Level examinations. As well as encouraging my students in developing their communication skills, I also emphasise about the importance of cultural awareness through films and literature. Each student is different so I adapt my teaching to their needs and I also advise them how they can learn a language by having a structure, ie. learning how to learn a language as this is important to make progress. I am fluent in Spanish and Italian and I have been learning Russian for a few years this is why, as a foreign language learner myself, I can understand the expectations and the challenges that learners have and help them through their language learning process. |
