Sally - St. Andrews tutor
Information About Sally:
Personal Description:
I am a lecturer in history and lifelong learning, with many years experience of helping students to develop skills such as essay writing, source analysis and presentation. I live near St Andrews in Fife, and work mostly in Edinburgh.
Teaching Experience:
I have over 25 years experience teaching foundation/school leaver, undergraduate and postgraduate students, in history and history-related subjects, as well as in study skills for humanities subjects, and UCAS application guidance. I have taught in the universities of St Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Tutoring Approach:
I know that everyone learns differently, and I am passionate about providing opportunities that enable everyone to flourish in their learning environment. I am particularly experienced in working with students with additional support needs, with mature students, and with international students, and I am aware of the importance of each individual's needs. My approach is to discuss the student's needs, and to agree on goals, a plan and timeframe for working together.
