I am a native French speaker, born and educated in Paris, but I have been living in England for over 30 years and married an Englishman. I graduated from the Sorbonne University with a view to teaching English there but when I came to England as a French assistante. A year later, having completed my Master's degree I cam back to settle in England and soon qualified as a French teacher. I have been working in that capacity until 2012 when I retired from full-time teaching to dedicated myself to private tuition. Iain was born in 1986 in Dundee, Scotland into a large musical family, so unsurprisingly making music was all that he wanted to do from an early age. He first began to learn the trumpet in school aged seven, before joining his local brass band Dundee Instrumental on cornet at the age of ten. By the age of twelve, Iain had been promoted to principal cornet, a position he later went on to hold with several of Scotland's top bands, also including the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland. Many solo competitions were won along the way - including the junior section at the British Open Solo Championships at age eleven. Having gained two Trinity College diplomas before the age of eighteen, Iain took the advice of teacher David James and moved south to study music at the University of Salford, where his playing really began to blossom. Since then Iain has held positions as principal cornet with many of the UK's leading brass bands including his current seat with the world renowned Leyland Band. He has enjoyed many successful contest and concert performances, and is fast establishing a reputation as one of the finest cornet soloists of his generation, performing, adjudicating and giving master-classes as far afield as the USA, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Japan. In 2009 Iain was the recipient of a prestigious Dewar Arts award, awarded for performance in trumpet. Tutoring Approach:
Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Tutoring Approach:
I believe that it is essential to establish the needs of each individual student so that a tailor-made course can be designed for that particular student. That does not mean that my approach is inflexible, however - if one approach to teaching does not suit the individual learning needs of the student, I will endeavour to teach the student in a way that they are happy with and which will lead to the best possible results.
As a teacher of foreign languages I very much favour the communicative approach but I am also more than willing to teach grammar as this also plays an important role in language learning. As languages are meant for speaking I place a great deal of importance on oral work - particularly at GCSE and A level - but once again, the needs of each individual learner are paramount. For oral conversation, I am happy to teach using SKYPE.

I am qualified tutor/teacher of English as a Foreign Language, currently teaching ONLINE only via Zoom or Skype. I also tutor primary students and feel passionate about improving every student's level of English. I can prepare you for Cambridge English exams.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching English to all ages for many years. I hold group lessons and private lessons. I do EXAM prep for Cambridge FCE, PET, CAE. I also teach Business English, do interview preparation and CV support. I currently teach at two language schools, as well as privately.

My main aim is to improve your confidence as your ability grows. I am known as a relaxed, approachable teacher and I feel passionate about teaching English to every level. I have travelled and learned other languages, and understand that experiencing a new culture is difficult in many ways. So my lessons are about cultural experience as much as words and language.

I am a second year Economics Student at Lancaster University achieving a 2:1 in my first year.

Currently I have picked modules only involving mathematics ranging from maths for economics, econometrics and game theory and a minor pure mathematics module. So I am presently fully capable of handling up to A-Level Core and Statistical mathematics.

Teaching Experience:
I have no professional experience as a teacher however i have some experience teaching my peers throughout GCSE, A-Level and Degree Level.
For instance I have taught friends and peers parts of Edexcel Mathematics up to A-Level.
As well as this i have also received private tuition myself during A-Level from my college and so have a good perspective from this on teaching maths to students.

I am a 30 year old History and Politics graduate, with ten GCSE's and three A Levels.

I have acquired a lot of experience in schools and tutored both small groups and one to one.

I have also tutored privately, for eighteen months. All of the students that I have tutored thus far, have achieved or exceeded their targets.

I have been speaking Spanish for over 30 years and have a passion for the language, for Spain and the Spanish culture.

I have visited Spain every year since I was eight and regularly visit friends across the country and members of my family who live near Valencia.  I spent a year of my degree studying, living and working in Northern Spain, at the University of Salamanca.  I regularly update and improve my own language and teaching skills and most recently attended an intensive week's teaching and learning course in Málaga . 

I have a passion for watching people develop as foreign language speakers and have been privileged to share my enthusiasm for the language and culture across a range of ages and abilities -  from 5 years old to 70+ covering all levels from tourist, conversational, GCSE, A-Level and International Baccalaureate.  

Teaching Experience:
I have a degree in both Spanish and Teaching and have been teaching the language in colleges, primary and secondary schools for almost 10 years.  I am a co-author for the new CGP GCSE Study Guides and workbooks. I am also an examiner for the International Baccalaureate Course.

I offer 1-2-1 Spanish tuition online.  I teach all ages from beginners to A-Level students; whether you are a total beginner, did Spanish at school and are looking at getting back into the language or are an advanced speaker wanting to hone your language skills. My strength is in working with you to create a tailored, relaxed and fun session. I will design a course with only you in mind.  I ensure your lessons have a balance between the four skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening. We will work at your pace.  Whatever your personal goal, we will achieve it.
