Personal Description:
I have over 20 years experience in the education sector.
My previous roles as Programme Manager, GNVQ programme Coordinator, Exams officer (for KS3 (SATs) and KS4 internal assessment) and Baseline Data Coordinator (using ALIS, YELLIS and MIDYIS ); have enabled me to acquire the experience, skills and knowledge of monitoring and managing learner progress and achievement and setting realistic achievable targets at learner and departmental levels.
Teaching Experience:
I have experience of using a range of qualitative and quantitative data to inform and guide towards curriculum planning and for setting benchmark targets aimed at raising attainments at the; learner, departmental and institutional levels.
Having worked in various institutions within the education sector has been invaluable towards acquiring a comprehensive knowledge skills and experience of delivery and monitoring teaching & learning and progress & achievement of learners at KS3 to KS5.
I have taught the following subjects; Science KS3, Chemistry GCSE & A level, IB diploma Chemistry , Forensic Science & Physics GCSE.
Tutoring Approach:
I have an adaptable and flexible approach, able to fit and use varied learning approaches towards motivating and encouraging learner engagement and understanding.
