I am a fully qualified English teacher with QTLS and a masters degree. I am experienced and qualified in teaching key stages 2 - 5 including GCSE English language, literature and A level.

I have an excellent proven track record of enabling my pupils/students to gain high grades in the GCSE (9-1) specification.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 15 years of experience in teaching, and have worked in 6th forms, colleges and schools. My roles have been varied including working as head of department, co-ordinator, course leader and teacher trainer. I have achieved excellent results with my tutees and can provide references.

Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy working on a 1-2-1 basis to meet the individual needs of the pupil/student. I reflect on current educational materials, colourful visual resources, and focus on exam preparation with very high success rates.

Although born just South of London, I have spent many years in other countries (16 years in Russia).

Having retired from designing and teaching I now love to paint, usually in large format and in acrylic. I also enjoy oil, watercolour and pastel chalks. My sketchbook follows me wherever I go.

I have recently completed Year 13 at Pate's Grammar School. I have several paid teaching experiences. However, I have experience tutoring a Year 11 student to help them prepare for their upcoming exams.

Tutoring Approach:
I have found that in essay subjects it is helpful to break down each question that could come up in an exam into the assessment objectives required. I hope to help the student realise how to meet these objectives in their essays under timed conditions. This can be achieved through essay plans and mind maps once the content has been reviewed.

Robert is a Film/TV Composer, Music Producer and Songwriter from Hertfordshire England.

Robert is a graduate of the prestigious (SMPTV) Screen Scoring Masters program at USC (Thornton school of music). He was mentored by renowned film composers including; Bruce Broughton, Christopher Young & Patrick Kirst. At USC he was awarded the 'Nordstrom Family Scholarship'. At this time Robert was also welcomed into the British Academy of Film and Television Arts family after becoming the recipient of the 'BAFTA LA Access for all Scholarship'.
In 2019 his ongoing relationship with BAFTA continued as he was invited onto the BAFTA LA Newcomers program.

In 2015 Robert Graduated from Leeds Conservatoire of Music with a 2:1 in Music Production and Music Composition. During his time there he studied under the tutorship of Brian Morrell, Alex Halliday and Jiannis Pavlidis.

Over the years, Robert has worked as a private tutor for GCSE, BTEC and A-level students and as a guitar instructor.
He has worked with a U.K. based classical choir as their music producer and arranger, and also as an artist in residence in various schools in England, where he offered advice to young musicians.
