Personal Description:
A parent as well as a tutor, I have been teaching languages privately for over a decade, and currently teach via Skype or Zoom. Some students come for me with additional help with their school courses and I can work on specific areas and give pointers for improving grades. I also tutor home educated students who want me to help them through the whole Syllabus.
I usually do a combination of grammar and other skills during a lesson. While in ordinary times I often teach face to face, I find online tutoring is an efficient way to teach. Student and tutor have to be very focused, and we need to have the lesson planned carefully to make sure we have access to documents, so no time is wasted finding materials or deciding what to do. I also set homework if parents want this, and it does help to maximise the lesson time.
Teaching Experience:
After my degree in French and Spanish, and PGCE, I went on to teach in a mixed ability secondary school. After this I started out as a private tutor, working with students in the local area. I have taught both French and Spanish from lower secondary to A Level and sometimes teach adult students learning for a specific purpose too.
I know the different syllabuses extremely well and currently work as an associate examiner for Edexcel Pearson too.

Organised and serious but friendly and approachable. I work alongside students to help them achieve the best grades possible.
