I think that most students have more mathematical ability than they themselves believe; this can be brought out in a positive fashion once negative stereotypes are discarded. Also the application of mathematics to the real world can be exciting and profitable.

The most important thing about learning a different language is passion. I would rather teach student Chinese from the area they are interested into than routine staff. For example, their hobbies, favourite movies, musics, sports and so forth. As far as I concerned, enthusiasm is essential not only for teacher but also for student. Also, I would use creative approach to teach Mandarin by hanging out in Chinatown, Chinese supermarket so as to give them a practival experience of learning a different language and have a deep understanding both Mandarian and Chinese culture. I am coming from Patras, Greece, where I spent most of my childhood and early adult life. I have been teaching in Special Education for 6 years supporting students aged from 7 to 16 years old with a range of learning, mental health and medical difficulties. The last couple years I am privileged enough to work in Primary Education and in teaching Greek as a second language.
