I am passionate about Geography! I believe it is THE subject that defines our era.
This philosophy informs my approach to teaching vibrant, exciting student-friendly lessons in school and similar sessions in the tutoring experience.
I have been a head of department at leading schools in NW London/SW Herts since 2017. I have examined for AQA across all components (Paper 1 Physical Geography, Paper 2 Human, NEA/Coursework). Tutoring Approach:
For some students, gaining confidence with many of the concepts and ideas presented in geography at Key Stage 4 or 5 is difficult - especially considering the pressures of coursework, ongoing assessment and the natural workload provided by other subjects. Yet these concepts underpin much of the reality that geography deals with.
My approach to tutoring is to enthuse the often overwhelmed student first and foremost with 'real', accessible geography. By using interactive ICT-based resources and practical assessment tools such as course guides, question mark schemes and exemplar work, the student can access previously hard-to-grasp material, and gain a critical understanding of the assessment process.
My belief is that you would not attempt to fix a car without instructions. I help the student interpret the manual to their course so they themselves can get behind the wheel and drive to success!

I am a Cambridge graduate currently teaching at a secondary school in Birmingham. I offer private tuition in English and Latin as well as Oxbridge application advice.

It is difficult to offer a single "approach to tutoring" as I believe the right teaching method depends entirely on the interests, level, and personality of the individual student.

I am also available to tutor students preparing for university entrance interviews (in particular Oxbridge). Sixteen years tutor experience with pupils from year 7 up to adult learners. The majority of my students have been studying for their GCSE's.

There are many teachers on here which may be perfect for some children as a tutor. Tutoring Approach:
I currently teach all lessons in person or online on Zoom or Skype. Online tutoring is very effective, as students can choose the best tutor regardless of where they live and save on travelling time. As with in person lessons, I prepare lesson plans and materials and send them to the student before the lesson. I also set homework assignments, mark the work and give constructive feedback.

I have an honours degree in English Literature from the University of Stirling and have almost 30 years of experience in publishing and journalism. In the tutoring sphere, this enables me to work creatively, quickly and sharply and to a deadline, which is often necessary.

I have 16 years' experience working as an English tutor. During that time, I have achieved great satisfaction in improving the performances and results of numerous tutees.The vast majority of my tutees at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher obtain an A in their examination, even those who find English difficult or a challenge. I am a student doing Aerospace Systems Engineering at Coventry University with an interest in Web Design and computer hardware. I have been working on small projects for some companies and mostly working on freelance websites. I've been tutoring friends and other people aged between 12 and 24 for a while and I want to continue doing it.

Tutoring Approach:
I would first start with the basics, providing an understanding of underlaying concepts before showing examples that the student has to understand. Assignments would be composed of images of certain web components that they would have to work towards while using the aspects I had teached. Difficulty would go up with time and their own understanding of the subject.
