I then went on to set up and lead a large collaborative team between TRT and University of Surrey to study remote collaboration technologies. I joined General Dynamics United Kingdom Limited in 2005, primarily to ensure exploitation of DIF DTC technologies into the UK Ministry of Defence Equipment Programme. I received my Chartered Physicist status in 2004 and am now a director.

Several students have improved by more than 4 grades after just six months of tuition with me, and commonly students improve by at least one or two grades. Many of my students who previously had lost their passion for Maths and Physics, go on to take these subjects to a further level. I Use a Variety of Teaching Skills and Techniques to Meet Individual Needs

Every learner is unique and acquires knowledge in different ways. Therefore, I adapt my teaching strategies and techniques to suit each student's individual needs.

To illustrate my approach, I broadly categorise learners into two groups: children and adults.

Children generally have shorter attention spans but are naturally attracted to games, stories, songs, and rhymes. Therefore, I incorporate a wide range of interactive activities into my lessons. This enables vocabulary and sentence patterns to be acquired more easily and naturally while keeping children fully focused and engaged. Colourful flashcards are both enjoyable and highly effective learning tools. After providing guidance and demonstrations, I encourage young learners to create their own phrases and simple sentences creatively. To keep adult learners motivated and inspired, I encourage them to take an active role in the learning process. Once they have understood the key concepts and language points, I engage them in a variety of thinking and communication activities. I also deliberately guide students to use the target language in everyday situations and familiar contexts, turning daily life into a valuable language-learning resource. Hello! My name is Gemma and I am a 32 year old doctor, chartered accountant, strategy consultant and successful start up founder. I graduated in medicine from Nottingham University in 2016, switched to finance, became a qualified chartered accountant, and now work for one of the 'Big4' in health advisory and strategic consulting. However, my heart will always lie with the sciences, and somehow in amongst all of my wide ranging career, my favourite job has always been teaching.

I have been tutoring maths and science (chemistry, biology, physics) to GCSE level for several years, and more recently maths and biology to A level standard. I have experience with ages 6-18 (and a few adults as well!), as well as with children with autism and ADHD.

I am a Spanish native speaker from Mexico. I have 9 years of experience teaching English and Spanish in Mexico and the UK. I am a qualified Spanish Teacher currently working in the Greater Manchester area.

Teaching Experience:
My most significant educational experience comes from teaching in an English School in Mexico, which was a rewarding experience. I was always extremely supportive with my students during the lessons and I consistently showed excellent communication and understanding skills. I helped pupils to improve their language skills through the implementation of varied activities and materials considering their individual needs. During this period of time, I worked with various groups of learners from ages 4-5 up to adults and occasionally worked with low-ability learners and some mild learning difficulties, which helped me to develop excellent classroom management and classroom organisation.
