I am a native French speaker, born and educated in Paris, but I have been living in England for over 30 years and married an Englishman. I graduated from the Sorbonne University with a view to teaching English there but when I came to England as a French assistante. A year later, having completed my Master's degree I cam back to settle in England and soon qualified as a French teacher. I have been working in that capacity until 2012 when I retired from full-time teaching to dedicated myself to private tuition. My name is Alice, I am French from Paris, and have lived in the UK for the past 9 years. I am currently based in Stirling, Riverside. I offer tutoring for all levels, whether online or in-person.

I have experience teaching French to various ages and levels and using different approaches - whether more theoretical or conversational.

Tutoring Approach:
If you decide to start lessons with me, we will first discuss your needs and expectations. I will then propose a plan for lessons going forward. The lessons can be online, in-person or a mix of both. I adapt my method to each pupil's requirements and will ensure that you get a clear understanding of the French grammar, vocabulary and are at ease with your pronunciation of the language.

Teaching Experience:
I have qualified as a teacher in 1998 but was teaching before that. I have taught in secondary schools, in sixth form and in adult education. Since 2006, I started teaching privately as well and working as an examiner for AQA for French, AS-levels. I am now working online with people from all backgrounds and who are learning French for a wide range of objectives.

Tutoring Approach:
I tailor the lessons to my students wishes, learning styles, objectives. I am patient and kind, approachable, professional and reliable.
Being a native speaker witth a lot of experience of teaching, and being an ongoing examiner for AQA, I know what to teach and how.
