My approach to proof-editing / English checking is to look primarily at the language. For some clients - university students in particular - it is not appropriate to offer an editorial service as this goes against the rules of university submissions. My main aim with my tutees is to build their confidence and enthusiasm for the subject. To this end I concentrate on teaching the skills they require to achieve the grades they want. I am an Italian art historian with a strong interest in cultural exchanges.

I hold an MA in History of Art from the University of Siena and a PhD in Italian Studies from the University of Birmingham. I have nine years of teaching experience in Italian language and culture at the University of Birmingham, within the Department of Modern Languages.
