Where appropriate, I relate material to businesses, financial markets, government policy and situations students are likely to encounter outside the classroom.

As examinations approach, I increasingly focus on applying this understanding to exam questions. This includes question interpretation, structure, application, analysis, evaluation, time management and understanding exactly what examiners are looking for.

Finally, I believe successful teaching is ultimately about listening to your students. I constantly encourage students to question things and tell me when they don't understand or are unsure.

If a student appears hesitant, I will often ask open questions or ask them to explain the concept back to me. This allows me to understand their thought process rather than simply establishing whether they have arrived at the correct answer.

I have high expectations of my students and expect them to put effort into their studies, but I also want them to feel comfortable making mistakes. Mistakes are often the quickest way for me to identify exactly what a student doesn't understand and therefore what I need to explain differently.

Ultimately, my aim is to make students increasingly independent of me. A successful student should eventually have the knowledge, confidence and skills to tackle difficult problems themselves.

Hi! My name is Daniel and I have recently taken my A levels.

Subjects: Maths, Physics, Chemistry

•Predicted A* in Maths, A* in Physics and A* in Chemistry

•7 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s in GCSE

•Received offers from University College London (UCL), University of Edinburgh, University of Warwick and University of Glasgow for Mechanical Engineering

•Graduated from Newham Collegiate Sixth Form (The NCS), a top 1% sixth form in UK

•NCS Engineering Club Founder and Chairman, led the club into Big Bang Competition Finals

Teaching Experience:
In Engineering Club I have mentored Y12 students ESAT and PAT preparation.

I have also helped with Y12 students engineering personal statements and held mock interviews.

These led to exceptional elite university admission rates in my school, including multiple Oxbridge Engineering admissions, and lots of Imperial/UCL admissions.
