. Hello. I am a Qualified teacher, native to France. I worked for over 10 years in France, teaching in schools and colleges French, computer technology, IT and computer science. In 2010 my wife and I moved to England and I started teaching in schools and giving private tuition. Soon I was concentrating on individual one/two to one tutoring with people of all ages in their homes, places of business, universities or online via Skype. I have many students from referrals.
I am passionate about tutoring students, watching their progress and achievements. I am friendly and approachable and I really enjoy teaching, preparing the lessons for each student to ensure they reach their goals.

I have a PhD in chemistry from a university in the United States. Personally I'm friendly and supportive and easy to get along with.

I have been working as a private tutor for more than 15 years and during that time I have helped hundreds of students. I have worked in bioscience research and more recently in life science marketing and academic conference management in chemistry and biochemistry. I am a Chartered Chemist, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and committee member of the Protein & Peptide Science Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

I start by identifying the particular needs of the student: do they have problems with understanding some or all of the subject; are there any areas of weakness that need to be strengthened; are there issues with exam technique that need to be addressed?

Even well taught students who have a good grasp of the subject can fail to achieve their full potential through poor exam technique. My earlier experience as a Chief Examiner, responsible for setting and marking A level exams, means that I have a detailed knowledge of the exam system and how students need to approach exam papers. Teaching Experience:
I tutored during my GCSEs for years 7-10 in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. This taught me how to teach in a personal style, offering a safe space for group discussions on challenging topics whilst also identifying where individual students struggled.
