Teaching Experience:
Prior to coming to the United Kingdom I spent four years at University in Turkey studying Chemistry. I have had my qualifications translated into the UK equivalent by UK NARIC which equates to a Bachelor Degree. I also have my general high school qualifications ( which includes Maths and English ) translated by NARIC which equates to a standard between GCSE and GCE AS level.

When I left university I spent 6 months at a hospital in the bio chemistry department in order to gain practical experience. I then taught in a primary school for a year teaching pupils aged 10 years. From here I moved on to a secondary school where I spent the next two years teaching chemistry pupils aged 15 to 17 years. During this time I gained a wealth of experience and enjoyment teaching pupils of various ages.

I work in Secondary School as a Science Technician since 2010 in Epsom Area that I really enjoy.

Tutoring Approach:
I like to keep my brain active and have also undertaken several part time study courses in my spare time. I enjoy working on my home computer and I have attended IT courses at NESCOT in Epsom learning about IT principles , spreadsheet , and word processing.
I feel that the skills and knowledge that I have obtained so far would be very useful in helping me to gain a position within the tutoring in my fluent Turkish Language.

I am a professional accountant with PTLLS Level 4 teaching qualification, and I deliver excellent, high quality teaching with tremendous motivational effect, and all my students have loved and praised my teaching methods and style. I am passionate about teaching and nothing thrills me more than imparting my knowledge to others. I taught some A Level Accounting students, whose school teachers predicted they would each achieve a grade D, but with my one to one, personal high quality and methodical teaching, they achieved either grade C or above.

I supported a young student who was studying for BA Business Accounting at the university by tutoring her in the Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Analysis and Corporate Finance subjects. As a result, she achieved a 2:1 Grade. It is pertinent to note that the young student did not have any prior knowledge in Accounting. She took A Level Drama, but changed to do Accounting at the university, which makes her achievement much more remarkable.

In my current role as an Accounts Lecturer, I have adopted a methodical approach to my teaching. The preparation and use of scheme of work, session planning, syllabuses, timetable, lesson notes and handouts helps me in presenting my lessons in an organised and logical manner, and ensuring that the syllabuses are fully covered. I am confident and positive in my teaching and able to build confidence in the students themselves, which helps in achieving the learning objectives set for each lesson and thereby achieving the overall objectives of the course. I adopt a mixture of pedagogical and andragogical approach to my teaching. A recent University of Leeds graduate with a 2:1 class BSc (Hons) in Economics and Mathematics (Industrial) who is currently teaching in a secondary school in Birmingham. Throughout university, I undertook a wide range of mathematics modules to enhance my understanding of the subject I have an enormous passion for. I have a years experience as a Maths teacher within a secondary school in Birmingham. In eight short weeks I was able to help this student achieve the desired A-grade she had hoped for, improving by a massive two grades. I began my combat training at thirteen at a local boxing club in Llanelli, learning the vital skills and discipline that have kept me working in the fitness and self-defence field for over ten years.

At the age of fifteen I joined the Cobra-Kai Freestyle Kickboxing Federation, and trained religiously under the regime of instructor Lee Martin (4th degree black belt). In 1997 I went on to win the European martial arts title (WUMA Federation), held at Cheltenham. On my return, and after numerous local newspaper photos and write-ups, I received the greatest honour any keen young martial artist dreams of: becoming a fully-fledged black belt.

Teaching Experience:
At the young age of 18, I opened my very own kickboxing club at Llanelli Leisure Centre, for all levels and ages. After showcasing my skills, not only as a martial artist but also a teacher, I received my 2nd degree black belt. Starting with just one weekly ninety-minute class, I now run four classes per week. Over the years I have helped created more than ten black belt students, two welsh champions and one British champion.

In 1997, I ran my first all women's self-defence class, training women of all ages and physical abilities. I continued my classes, eventually including mixed gender and young persons training.

After undergoing a series of courses from Securicare, Frontline, Venue security and BIIAB City and Guilds, I have become a Level 7 Conflict Management Trainer. I have worked alongside various organisations such as the NHS, covering the majority of hospitals and clinics throughout Carmarthenshire.

As well as training, I have since achieved my 4th degree black belt, opened my own one-to-one gym, and become an advanced level 3 personal trainer through Fitness Wales (REPs certified), teaching private lessons of fitness, weight training, martial arts, self-defence, Pilates, and much more.
