Personal Description:
I am very patient and tolerant but very effective in imparting right techniques in Maths. I encourage independent thinking and asking questions. I am currently teaching in a Sixth Form college and I have a good experience in teaching AS/A2 Maths, Accounting and Business Studies.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching to sixth form students for quite a long time now and have delivered excellent results. After completing my Master's in International Business, I have been working at Independent Sixth Form college in Birmingham since September 2010 teaching AS/A2 Maths, Accounting and Business Studies. Working in a sixth form college has given me immense confidence to deal with students.

Tutoring Approach:
I put a lot of emphasis on past papers and exam reports as its very important to read Examiner's Mind frame before attempting any paper. I believe that examiners understand the mind of a student through his/her written attempt, not how hard a student has worked or how impressive his subject knowledge is. In order to facilitate this, I have a vast resource of Past papers and Exam reports which prove quite conducive for my tutees.

In all these years, I have tried to transfer my knowledge to everybody I had sat down to help with his/her economics and business exams (especially accounting and finance). I have provided, and still do when necessary, tuition to members of the family and friends.
Even in College, I have assisted friends in their maths and accounting courses, aiming at helping them understand the methodology that is behind numbers.
I have high confidence in myself that I can succeed in a private teaching/tutoring role. I have always admired young people's minds, and I believe that a teacher's responsibility is to help them both shape them and enrich them within the frame of each individual's personality.

Teaching Experience:
My current position is Lecturer in Finance in one of the leading private business schools in the UK. I am focusing in those areas that I have had a 17 year working experience. Working in the real business world for all these years is an asset for me, which will definitely help me transfer the knowledge I have gained, to younger people.
I have also been recently appointed by a secondary school, as Accounting tutor for a group of students to assist and prepare them for their A2 Accounting exams.

I have always believed that the best approach to tutoring is the pen and paper approach. That is, I find necessary for a student to practice as much as possible through exercises and problem solving. And as ancient Greeks once said: "Reviewing is the mother of knowledge".

I have achieved a first class degree in Accounting and Business Management. Since then, I have set up my own tutoring business. I am great with children and I find it easy to relate to struggles and problems that they may be facing in school. I aim to help improve student's ability in Maths and where applicable offer transferable skills that could be useful in other subjects.

Teaching Experience:
I have experience of teaching in summer schools in East London to children aged 5-17. I have also had work experience in Shooter's Hill Sixth Form teaching GCSE Maths. For the last six years I have helped guide students to passing the 11+, achieving great results at their Year 6 SATs and building confidence in students that were not fond of Maths prior to meeting me. I am able to stay up to date with the national curriculum and show students a number of ways of how to arrive at the correct answer.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching Maths is locating areas of where there is lack of understanding and building foundation from there. The most common problem is that some concepts have not been understood and therefore the student cannot go further until it is understood. It is therefore pivotal that an initial assessment takes place.

Teaching is something that I enjoy doing. I believe in clarity and tend to teach people in methods which I wish I was taught. I break things down and offer plenty chances for the student to ask questions. My approach to tutoring is to equip the student with relevant knowledge first then immediate application. I want to create an environment where the student can inform me if they do not understand the topic. I like to give simple questions until they are confident enough to deal with an advanced question. I believe in encouraging students and making the learning process exciting and fun.

My name is Clementine. I am living on the Isle of Man. I am looking to pass on my knowledge to the next generation. I went to Newcastle university where I studied Applied Sport and Exercise Science (BSc). Following this I became a personal trainer receiving level 3 and finally went onto doing a PGCE course where I received my QTS and an outstanding grade. My school recently had Ofsted, where I was observed by two members who both gave me outstanding lesson observations. I am a friendly character just wanting to help children.

I'm Nonie. I'm originally from Taiwan. I have lived and studied in several countries and speak several languages. I speak fluent Mandarin, Taiwanese, English and Japanese. I also speak conversational German and Spanish. I haven't stopped learning languages because it's such a fun thing to do.

I have taught in junior school and secondary schools in England for a few years. Now I base in Wales. I work with Confucius Institute teachings students in University of Wales Trinity Saint David. I also give private lessons in person and online. Apart from that, from time to time, I work with the Reaching Wider Department of Swansea University, teaching Mandarin, the culture and the art of writing such as Chinese Calligraphy to pupils of different ages.

I would love to be able to share my language learning and teaching experiences with whoever finds learning languages difficult, especially with the ones who find reading and writing Chinese impossible.

There are many ways that you can learn Mandarin. I assure you that you'd not just be writing characters but singing and playing games with me. You will have access to the learning materials online and on apps. Whenever you have time, you'd be able to access them and play the games. My 13 years experience working as a Principal Examiner included responsibility for writing your A Level and AS Psychology exam papers for a major exam board; awarding grades to students and writing the all important examiner reports. In this respect I have a true insight into how Psychology exam papers are set and marked having supervised the marking of thousands of exams since 2002. I was also part of the team that wrote and produced the new A Level Psychology specifications for 2008 and 2015.

I have been providing training and support to staff and students since 2003 and visit numerous schools and colleges regularly especially during the key revision season. I am a regular speaker for Keynote Educational Ltd and also run successful staff and student Psychology webinars.

I have over 20 years teaching experience and have taught and examined for both AQA and Edexcel specifications at A level and GCSE. I have written articles for Psychology Review and am a published author having written textbooks at A level and GCSE.

Whether its simplifying content or more importantly understanding what the examiners want then look no further.
My sessions are always dictated by the needs of the student and we will typically focus on building confidence in understanding and answering exam questions. Getting your written abilities to match your verbal abilities is key as so many students know the answer but just cant write it down in the exam in order to get marks.
Exams have changed significantly so there is less guessing what's going to be on the paper and a heavier focus on applying knowledge to questions. I will challenge you to tackle these and other types of questions so you are fully prepared for them.
I always say 50% of your grade in August will be down to the correct type of revision and the other 50% is down to how you interpret the exam question, together we will successfully tackle both. Hello, I am a UK qualified teacher and have had a very interesting career in the UK and overseas. I lived in Australia for 2 years where I gained an MBA. I worked in the Middle East for 5 years. For the past few years, I have been an on-line tutor for a Paris school, a Budapest school and many private A level, IB and undergraduate students.

I find that most students are capable of learning the content of the GCSE or A level syllabus, can remember the main concepts, but struggle to write a coherent A grade essay. If this is your weakness, then I will focus on developing your essay writing skills and I have lots of resources which I use to do this.
I understand that some of the economics and business concepts can be quite complex and some of the diagrams challenging, so I will be very patient with you and will make sure you fully understand every topic in the syllabus. I will stretch and challenge you to make sure that you stay at the top of your game and I will use materials appropriate to your ability.
