Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching English for 20 years, with experience working across all levels and supporting a wide range of learners. I am also a current Qualifications Scotland marker and have experience as a Team Leader, giving me a strong understanding of assessment and what is required to succeed.
Tutoring Approach:
For me, teaching is about much more than simply passing exams. I believe in making the curriculum relevant, developing transferable skills and helping young people understand how the skills they learn can benefit them beyond the classroom. My role is to complement the excellent work being done in school, while providing students with the individual support and encouragement they need to thrive.
Above all, I want to help young people believe in themselves, build their confidence and recognise what they are capable of achieving. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student grow in confidence and achieve goals they may not have thought possible.
