Tutoring Approach:

Lessons can include grammar explanation, vocabulary, building and doing exercises, weekly quizzes, monthly tests and having conversations.

Also I can provide lessons tailored especially for travellers who are planning to visit Turkey, looking to have a more enjoyable and fun experience communicating with the locals.
This lessons will include the most important phrases and basicwords and also some cultural tips.

We can arrange individual lessons, for two students or small groups.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced teacher with a strong interest in all things scientific.
I am recently retired from full-time teaching and live in the Durham area with my family including two teenage daughters along with our faithful dog, Charlie.
My specialism is Physics. After many years teaching I think I understand why some students find it so tough and I always try to use real life examples and analogies to help students with their learning and understanding.

Teaching Experience:
I taught for most of my career, more than 30 years in a large comprehensive school in Newcastle.
I have held a number of posts including an extended period as Head of Physics.
Specifications and schemes of work change far more than they used to but the fundamentals of Physics remain the same and a good grasp of key concepts is the essential foundation for success at all levels.

Tutoring Approach:
I love the buzz and performance element of classroom teaching particularly with A level and GCSE students, but I think I am equally at home teaching in small groups and with one to one individual teaching. In these situations it is essential that students take ownership of their learning and I enjoy helping students identify their strengths and weaknesses and devise some careful planning to understand and improve.
One to one teaching is fairly rare in the modern school environment and I look forward to developing my own skills as time goes on.

My background:
After gaining 3 A levels (Pure Maths, Applied Maths and Physics), I worked as a Climate Data Analyst for the weather office for about 10 years where they sponsored me for my HNC Maths. I am also a financial technical analyst and have several years live trading experience. I have voluntary teaching experience abroad in refugee camps and orphanages. I also have teaching experience amongst friends and family.

Teaching Experience:
After many years of work experience, I am keen to pass on my knowledge. My teaching experience has been limited to friends and family and also to work holiday periods when I travelled abroad to teach in refugee camps and orphanages. I am keen to teach on a more permanent basis now.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is to build confidence in the student by ensuring they get the right knowledge, guidance and a lot of practice! Most people can understand, but due to lack of motivation, discipline and procrastination, they end up creating psychological barriers. Simply committing to a tuition session will help focus the mind. My job will then be to make sure the student gets the knowledge, guidance and practice they need to build their confidence and hence to succeed.

Native Italian speaker born in Switzerland who graduated in 2016 from the University of Geneva, Faculty of Translation & Interpreting, with a BA in Multilingual Communication. I have now changed my career path but still translate and tutor part-time.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored from high school to university. I had tutees of all ages.

Tutoring Approach:
Besides theory, I will equally focus on practice to instill confidence in the tutees. I will also provide cultural information that complements and supports the learning experience. I will also consider the tutees' suggestions as choosing to learn a foreign language often results from curiosity.

I am a French national and a qualified teacher from the University of Warwick (PGCE).

I have a real passion for teaching and have gained a lot of experience throughout my career. I always put the interest of my students first, endeavour to make them reach their full potential and give them a sense of achievement. I have often been praised for my dynamism and enthusiasm, as well as my thorough lesson planning involving differentiation and personal support. Moreover I am a very friendly and approachable individual, and make use of fun and engaging activities in class in order to create a pleasant learning atmosphere.

I have been teaching French for over 15 years. I taught 12 years in secondary schools in schools around Birmingham, West Midlands. I taught GCSE and A Level and also taught evening classes to adults.

I also taught ESOL for over 6 years at Birmingham Metropolitan College.

I have also been teaching online for over five years. I have been working with a wide variety of students from around the world from different abilities and with various objectives. I have been working with total beginners up to advanced students. I have prepared students for numerous exams such as IGCSE, GCSE, A Level, Nationality tests, DELF and DALF. All my students have always achieved excellent results in their examinations.

I have also been working with students who just want to learn the ropes of French to be able to get by on holidays or who wants to learn French. I always try o find the right method and resources for my students and can provide you with students`s references if you wish me to.

I also have worked with people who wanted to work on some specific themes such as tourism, business for instance.
