After working as an Engineer I changed career in my late 20s and moved into the world of Therapy and Healing. I trained in hypnotherapy and craniosacral therapy as well as Human Design. This gave me valuable experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other additional needs. I have also worked as a Computing Lead and currently tutor pupils from Years 3 to 9 in English and maths. These experiences have taught me how to adapt my teaching, explain ideas in different ways and help children grow in both confidence and ability.

Tutoring Approach:
My tutoring approach is centred around the individual child, as I understand that every pupil learns differently. I tailor each lesson to their needs, interests and current level, using a range of teaching methods and resources to keep learning clear and engaging. This may include visual aids, practical activities, games, technology, modelling and guided practice.

I take time to identify gaps in understanding and break difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps. I regularly check progress and adapt my approach when something is not working. Most importantly, I create a patient and encouraging environment where pupils feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and gradually becoming more confident and independent learners.
