Personal Description:

I am a calm, patient, and approachable tutor with over 22 years of teaching experience. Every lesson is carefully planned and tailored to the individual student's needs, learning style, and goals.

I strive to make my lessons engaging and enjoyable while ensuring students make consistent progress and build confidence in their abilities. Over the years, I have developed a wide range of teaching techniques that enable me to adapt my approach to suit learners of all ages and abilities.

A key part of my teaching is identifying and addressing common mistakes early. I keep track of areas where students struggle and work with them until those mistakes are fully understood and corrected. This targeted approach helps students improve their understanding, avoid repeating errors, and maximise their marks in exams.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 22 years of tutoring experience and have successfully supported students across KS1 to GCSE, as well as those preparing for 11+ entrance exams.

I specialise in Maths, English, and Science, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Many of my GCSE students go on to achieve Grade 7 or above in their core subjects through focused, structured tuition tailored to their individual needs.

I am confident I can quickly identify your child's strengths and areas for improvement, then develop a personalised plan to help them make significant progress and reach their full potential.

Tutoring Approach:

All of my lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style.

I begin with an initial assessment to identify their current level of understanding, strengths, and areas for improvement. I then prepare targeted lessons and practice questions that focus on the topics where they need the most support.

As well as developing subject knowledge, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students maximise the marks they can achieve.

Many of my students have improved from achieving grades C/D to A/B through structured, personalised tuition and consistent practice.
