After working as an Engineer I changed career in my late 20s and moved into the world of Therapy and Healing. I trained in hypnotherapy and craniosacral therapy as well as Human Design. I am an extremely skilled and dedicated teacher with nearly 30 years of classroom teaching experience, within the London Borough of Redbridge. I hold a degree in psychology, followed by a Postgraduate qualification in Education (PGCE), specialising in English. As a result, I achieved my QTS (Qualified Teaching Status).

Alongside my teaching career, I have consistently tutored children on a one-to-one basis, including home educated learners. I have worked with children across a wide range of abilities , helping them to grow in confidence, develop strong academic skills and achieve success in their learning journey. I also have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia. I am warm, reliable and approachable, and I genuinely enjoy helping children recognise their abilities and make progress.

Teaching Experience:
I have worked in education for over ten years and qualified as a primary school teacher in 2020. During this time, I have taught Years 2, 4, 5 and 6, as well as gaining experience across EYFS to Key Stage 3 through supply teaching. I have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and particular experience in English, maths, phonics and SATs preparation. While teaching Year 6, 86% of my class achieved the expected standard across reading, writing and maths.

Before qualifying as a teacher, I worked as a teaching assistant, intervention teacher and one-to-one SEN support assistant. This gave me valuable experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other additional needs. I have also worked as a Computing Lead and currently tutor pupils from Years 3 to 9 in English and maths.
