Hello. I am a fully qualified teacher with experience across the whole of the primary curriculum, including special needs and teaching for SATS tests . I continually update my teaching, mainly through the National Education Union online training sessions. I have had great results tutoring children extensively on a 1-2-1 basis for SATS and the 11+ entrance exam, plus have experience teaching adult literacy and English as a Foreign Language. English is essentially a skills based subject. I am patient, positive and empathetic. ENGLISH teaching is my success, I guarantee results and improvement. I am enthusiastic with a can-do approach. This enables my students to feel comfortable and to develop confidence I believe that making errors are part of learning. I create excellent rapport with parents and carers. I am sensitive to multicultral and multilingual groups.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught secondary English in South Africa. I have taught key stage 2 and 3 in the United Kingdom. I have been a Montessori teacher in Spain, and learned alternative holistic teaching approaches. I have taught corporate executives in Ireland (one to one and groups), I have been a key stage 2 English examiner for SATS exams, and an English Junior Certificate examiner with the Dublin Education Board. I have a wealth of experience across all age ranges and teaching is my passion.

Tutoring Approach:
learner centred, focus on learner needs, less teacher talk, more learner talk. I will provide balanced feedback and encourage my learners. i will create a positive and comfortable atmosphere.
