I am a fully qualified Secondary Chemistry and Science Teacher. I was Head of Science and KS5 Chemistry coordinator in my previous school and now I run my own education support centre in Birmingham City Centre. Prior to my teaching career. I was a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham conducting research in the field of nanotechnology.

I set students past papers questions and we resolve any difficulties they had in the session. Iterating through past paper questions in this manner leads to exceptional results: a student of mine came in the top 1% in the entrance exam against Oxford University applicants and gained a place. Practicing exam material and constantly pushing myself is how I achieved first class hons at the University of Oxford (as well as how I exceled at school), coming top in Game Theory in the exam, so I believe in this approach.

The FameLab competition gave me a chance to inform large groups of people about my chosen scientific topic. I gave multiple talks within my school and also at the University of Hull in the Allam medical building.
During my education, I would often find myself clarifying points to my fellow students which they didn't grasp first time.
During my time working on NCS, a large part of my role was to get participants of all different backgrounds and interests involved and this is something which is heavily applicable to tutoring.
