I continually update my teaching, mainly through the National Education Union online training sessions. Bilingual Project Officer- MEAS- Wirral Council
I provide a Traded Service to support schools in Wirral to meet the needs of pupils with English as an additional language (EAL) and ethnic minority pupils. My role is to facilitate good home/school communication for refugee and asylum- seeking families with aim of ensuring that each pupil achieves their full potential. I support pupils' settling into school and development of English sometimes via translations of instructions and curriculum language. I also provide support for families prior to and during admission of children with EAL to school/setting. Encourage and promote home-school/setting-community links for example: supporting schools in developing initiatives to meet the needs of EAL parents by providing information about ESOL classes and weekend community language classes. On the other hand, I provide information for staff regarding pupil's first language, cultural and religious issues, meanwhile, I support staff with any initial or ongoing pupil assessment and prepare dual language labels and materials for schools/setting.

2018- Present
Arabic Language Assessment Specialist, Cambridge International Assessments , Cambridge University, UK.
Successfully participated as an Assistant Moderator (Postal), to moderate the work from approximately 20 centres with candidates taking the examination in 0544/03 Foreign Language Arabic Speaking (c/w) for the June 2018 & 2019 sessions. In addition, I have also worked as an Assistant Examiner to mark the work of approximately 400 candidates taking the examination in 0508/01 First Language Arabic Reading (scoris) for the June 2018&2019 sessions, where the marking was done via RM processor. Furthermore, due to my excellence in the pre mentioned 4 modules, I was asked to perform further services with Cambridge assessments, where I was required to proofread test material for 3180/01 & 3180/02 OL Arabic June 2019. Throughout my work with Cambridge, a keen eye on detail and meeting deadlines were a key aspect of my work which extended my contracts further in 2019, when I was asked to be the Setter for the 9680/21 test material for AL Arabic November 2021.

Arabic Language Facilitator - University of Chester
Planning, running and administering Arabic evening classes for undergrades and open for the public. 10 years working within the university where I became an Arabic Edexcel GCSE Examiner, International Cambridge Speaking, reading and translation moderator as well as supporting with IB Diploma.
I have been running the Arabic evening classes at the Modern Languages Department, where I have enjoyed engaging my students in different Arabic language activities to facilitate their language acquisition through Mastering Arabic Series.

I'm a primary level and GCSE school teacher who is a highly motivated and conscientious individual, committed to teaching with enthusiasm. I'm an organised tutor with a good sense of humour, calm and professional manner and thrive on working with children and helping them to learn. I enjoy the humour and spontaneity of children and enjoy the challenges and opportunities that tutoring brings.
My interests that I bring to teaching include a range of different activities. I enjoy cooking, reading, listening to music and I like to participate in team and individual sports. These include swimming, skiing, badminton, tennis and running. In my leisure time I also enjoy music concerts, going to the theatre and long walks in the countryside with friends.

Teaching Experience:
I qualified with a BEd. (Hons.) Primary teaching degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004. My specialist subjects were English and Geography. Since then, I have over 20 years' experience in teaching and have taught in schools in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Sandwell. I have also completed specialist work with children in learning centres to develop their learning. I have taught all primary-aged children and worked with children in secondary schools. I endeavour to use my extensive experience, in teaching, to provide successful tutoring for all children. I also offer secondary up to GCSE level teaching to students students as I also currently teach English and Maths at a local college.

I teach in a confident, friendly and patient manner. I use a range of resources to keep my teaching stimulating, interesting and exciting. I encourage active interaction within my tutoring in order to gain the best from the children I teach. I'm a dyslexia specialist and I teach using multi-sensory methods, so children learn through sight, sound, touch and movement rather than just sitting and listening. Lessons are structured, patient and paced to suit each child. Many of my pupils have been told they're "bad at" reading, spelling or maths, and I love showing them that they just learn differently, not less.

My approach
Every child is different, so I start by finding out where they are, what they enjoy and where they get stuck. Then I build a plan around them. My lessons are friendly, encouraging and well structured, and I keep parents updated on progress so you always know how your child is doing.

My experience

I have over 30 years of experience in tuition, and in that time I've helped hundreds of children grow in confidence and achieve results they didn't think were possible. I'm primary qualified, and I've spent three decades teaching maths and English, preparing children for grammar school entry, and supporting pupils with dyslexia and other learning differences.

That much experience means I know where children typically get stuck and how to explain things in a way that finally makes sense to them. I've seen every learning style, so I can quickly spot what's holding a child back and adapt my teaching to suit them. Over the years I've also refined my multi-sensory methods and my approach to 11+ preparation, so you're getting tried-and-tested techniques rather than guesswork.

I begin by getting to know your child: where they feel confident, where they struggle and what they enjoy, so that lessons feel relevant and engaging from the start. From there I build a clear, step-by-step plan, breaking tricky topics into small, manageable pieces and using multi-sensory techniques (seeing, hearing, touching and moving) to help ideas stick. I keep lessons calm, encouraging and well paced, because children learn best when they feel safe to make mistakes. I celebrate every bit of progress, however small, and I keep parents regularly updated so you always know how your child is getting on and how you can support them at home. My aim is not just better marks, but a child who believes in themselves and enjoys learning.
