Personal Description:
I am a native Spanish speaker with teaching experience in Italy, Spain and the UK.
I have worked as a translator and now hold the position of Lead Teacher of Spanish with French at a secondary School. I also hold a qualification in Italian which together with my teaching experience in the country provide me with a deep Knowledge of the language.

I have always been passionate about languages and I strongly believe I can transmit this to my pupils.

Teaching Experience:
-April 2009 to present: Secondary school teacher of French and teacher in charge of Spanish. During this time I have given extra tuition for French and Spanish to three school pupils and all of them achieved A*. Home tution for Italian, Spanish and French.

-January 2008 to April 2009: I worked in various schools around the county as a MFL and music teacher. Two of this positions were for several months.

-2006: Teacher of English as a Second Language in Spain.

-2004-2005: Teacher of Spanish for the Politecnico university of Turin. I also worked as a translator during my time in Italy. This employment proved very rewarding from the intellectual point of view as made strive to get translations as close to the original language as possible.

2003: Volunteer teacher of Spanish and English as a Second Language at a charity organisation in Spain.

Besides the traditional tutoring method I also offer ONLINE LANGUAGES TEACHING. For this, internet connection is required.The first ONLINE LESSON is FREE and a 15% discount apply to the all rest of the online lessons.

The lessons that I teach are always interactive and practical. Students dictate both the content and the pace of the lessons and the aim is always to make the learning experience enjoyable. Tutoring Approach:
Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Personally, I believe that conversation is the key to becoming fluent in a language, but at the same time I do not neglect the importance of writing and reading comprehension. As a language teacher I firmly believe that in order for the students to succeed, two things must be present in the classroom environment: trust and respect. I have a lot of experience as a language student, Spanish is my native tongue and I have learned English, German and a bit of French and I have struggled with that first phrase I wanted to say out loud thinking that I was going to make a mistake or that it was going to sound funny. I understand that not everyone learns a language at the same rate and speaking in a foreign language takes courage and self-confidence. Courage and self-confidence are supported by an environment of trust and respect. In my classroom there are always ground rules: we are all here to learn, we learn from each other and we must respect each other.

The other very important aspect for me is making sure that the level of proficiency is correctly assessed. If the classes are too challenging or too basic, a negative environment not conducive to learning is created. Even if proper evaluation is made before the groups are formed, there will always be differences inside the classroom. I, as a teacher, try to be as aware as possible of this factor and strive to use that for the good of the group. Pairing a strong student with someone not as strong usually helps. Another important issue that I try to be as aware as possible is preventing the strong students from taking over the exercises and leaving behind other students that, because of either lack of confidence or not being at the same level, stop themselves from actively participating in class. In my classes, I make sure that everyone is heard and that I can evaluate progress of all my students.

I'm widely travelled and have spent many years living abroad. This has contributed to a high degree of fluency in Spanish and French. I acquire languages easily, being open to the cultures in which I find myself.

I have taught exclusively in continental countries. One year in Finland, six years in Spain and two in Germany. In all cases the teaching took place in private schools or in company offices. Much of the teaching was 1 to 1, the rest being in small groups.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that language acquisition takes place when the learner is relaxed and so my approach may be considered informal. The choice of materials is a joint decision. Good classes can take place with or without them.

I also favour a communicative approach, which entails giving a needs analysis to all my learners.

I am French but have lived in Britain for years (both my children, who are in their 20's, were born here). I have also lived and worked in Spain and am fluent in the language. I then taught adults in a language school (Inlingua) in Germany, Italy and London. I came back to this country and got a job in a private school where I was the teacher in charge of Spanish. After working in this school for 21 years, I have just retired but miss the excitement of teaching.

I have taught languages all my life, first in a Welsh comprehensive school (for 8 years), then abroad. In Spain, I taught French and English in a primary school and I then taught adults French, Spanish and English as a foreign language for Inlingua. When I returned to Britain, I taught French and Spanish to GCSE and A level in a private school. I have just retired after 21 years there and I now help a private Open University student. I have wide experience teaching Spanish for more than fifteen years in public and private schools and for all ages, besides considerable experience as a English-Spanish translator/interpreter. I am currently teaching English and Spanish in different companies, language schools and the most renowned tuition agencies in London on a freelance basis and occasionally working as cover supervisor in some schools. I am familiar and experienced with all GCSE and A-Level boards an exams (MLAT, SAT, DELE...)

Tutoring Approach:
I encourage students to solve their own problems by guiding them with leading questions as this reaffirms their understanding of the subject matter. This method allows them to apply the same knowledge to different questions as they answer a question using their own words rather than mine.

I have been teaching Spanish in UK secondary schools for 9 years after my PGCE in MFL. I also have experience with the new GCSE and A Level specifications, having got very good results from my students.

I believe that all students can learn, and each one of them learn differently so I like to adapt my techniques according to my student needs. I try to incorporate all learning styles in my lessons and make the activities as engaging as I can. My students practise all skills after they have understood the core language needed for it.

Native Spanish speaker who has Spanish, French and English teaching experience in Spain and the UK. Has gained a Master's degree in Teaching and a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting. Obtained a QTS back in 2017 and is currently working as a Modern Foreign Teacher here in England.

Teaching Experience:
As a Spanish, English and French teacher at Logo's Academy, a private language academy in Malaga, I taught children, teenagers and adults from different levels and prepared them for official exams. I also gave private tuition to students ranging from 5 to 62 age, which taught me to adapt my teaching methods to a variety of individual personalities.
In 2017, I followed my ambition to begin a UK teaching career, and since then I have been working here as a Spanish and French Teacher in Secondary school.

I have endeavoured to make my teaching as enjoyable as possible by using a variety of games, fun drilling and creative strategies. Of most importance, I have aimed to create a safe environment where students feel free to learn from their mistakes.
