I am capable to do quick summarised revision sessions, as well as long term lesson plans. Either way I ensure that the student is always given homework and stays revising. If appropriate I also do small mastery tests at the start of each lesson which consists of a five minute recap test, so the student is required to have revised the previous lesson well. Obviously if they struggle with the homework or mastery test, then the lesson plan's pace is adjusted to meet the child's level. I usually start with the current topics that student is studying in the school and explain to the student that topic and related background knowledge. As I teach one to one, my pace is faster than school and we usually finish the topic in one or sometimes two classes. And then we do previous topics and I explain doubts on those topics. I am a Turkish Cypriot and I am quite familiar to the GCSE and A-level curriculum. Apart from my academic background I'd like to address couple more stuff I have in my life. First off I have to state that I love learning and teaching new stuff, and also I believe teaching is the older brother of learning; as you can not say that you have learned something deeply if you are unable to teach it to someone that does not know it; like I play chess and have been the 6th table player of my municipality's chess team. Even though I have attended many many games with that team I was not aware of the fact that thinking simple would actually be a benefit in any game, and I realized this when last year I have aided an association's chess team in stars category as an educator. When working with youngsters that are looking at the game much simpler than you do, you have to match their energy and try to predict what obstacles may get in their way, and I believe this working experience improved me quite a bit in that matter. There are multiple different ways to learn and I can help find the right way to learn for you. After having tutored many of my friends and family in the younger years, I realised that I have a passion for teaching as I can make even the most mediocre thing interesting and understandable. I am open to teaching online virtually, so you don't even have to travel anywhere- all at a reasonable price! Each lesson will be approximately an hour long, whenever at your convenience as long as I can find time on my schedule as well to teach.

I've taught students aged 7 to 18, both online and in person, using a flexible and encouraging approach. Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching follows three stages for topics that students are less familiar with:

Guided Example - I begin by working through an example with the student, explaining each step in detail.

Supported Practice - I then provide a similar question broken into smaller parts, prompting the student to ask questions and gradually increasing their independence. This step is repeated until they are confident.

Independent Practice - Finally, I give the student a full question without hints or prompts, to check their understanding and ability to solve it independently.

I can tutor Mathematics up to A-Level (including Further Maths), and I am confident with all the content at this level. Informally, I have tutored peers in the past and found it rewarding to see their progress reflected in improved grades.

I'm a fully qualified secondary Physics teacher with four years of classroom experience, having taught in South Lanarkshire and now working in an East Renfrewshire secondary school. I'm enthusiastic about making Physics feel less intimidating and helping pupils build confidence in a subject that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

I have four years of experience teaching secondary Science and Physics, including National 5 and Higher Physics. I currently teach both National 5 and Higher classes and have experience planning courses, creating assessments and prelims, marking and moderation, supported study and exam preparation.

As a classroom teacher, I have worked with pupils across a wide range of abilities and confidence levels. This means I'm very used to identifying where a pupil is struggling, breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps and adapting explanations until we find one that works for them.

My tutoring is tailored to the individual pupil rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme. We can focus on particular topics they find difficult, consolidate what they are currently learning in school, work through homework or prepare specifically for assessments and exams.

I like to combine clear explanations with plenty of worked examples and exam-style questions, particularly focusing on problem-solving, calculations and how to approach SQA questions effectively.

Most importantly, I want pupils to understand why they are doing something rather than simply memorising a method. My aim is to improve both their Physics ability and their confidence, so that eventually they can tackle questions much more independently.
