Tutoring Approach:
The communicative approach centered in developing students' skills and abilities is my preferred tutoring approach, but it depends on the students needs. In the first lesson there is an assessment of competence and a learning style evaluation so I can easily tailor the Spanish course according to the needs of the student.
In all cases, Spanish classes include grammar, written exercises, talking and listening, and the writing practices are carried out through the homework (optional)

An advanced skills teacher in French, Spanish and German and a French native speaker, I also speak fluently 5 languages. I have been teaching in London secondary schools since 2010. In previous years I have also worked as second in charge and Head of French in an MFL department. However, I chose never to become head of department as this would have distracted me from perfecting my role as a teacher.

I follow a new revolutionary teaching method which demistifies languages and make them so much simpler. Generally after one year my GCSE students can write independantly a level 9 piece of writing - if they are not on track to achieve this, parents will be warned as soon as this becomes apparent.

In our school we used to have 3 or 4 students taking languages at Alevel, this has now reached 20!

To primary school students, I teach a language in the same way a toddler learns their mother tongue and generally, by the time they reach year 7, we can work on GCSE materials and look at taking a GCSE a the end of year 8, worst case scenario at the end of year 9.

Amongst my greatest success are helping a student increase her grade from a 3 to a 7, this same student is now taking French at Alevel and intends to pursue its study at University.
I have also helped a number of students pass the MLAT exam for Oxford. I have also helped young people increase by to 2 and sometimes 3 grades at Alevel and reach countless 9s at GCSE.

As a practising teacher, I have prepared hundreds of students for their exams and have therefore a good understanding of not only the different exam requirements for all skills, but also a good knowledge of the wide array of exam revision techniques and exercises available. I hold a PGCE in Modern Languages with Distinction from the University of Oxford and a First-Class Honours degree in French and Spanish from Queen's University Belfast. I also have a Master of Research (Distinction) in Arts and Humanities, with a focus on Spanish Studies.

I currently teach French and Spanish at a comprehensive secondary school in Oxfordshire and offer private tuition in both languages to learners of all ages and levels. I am passionate about languages, culture and helping others to feel confident in their language-learning journey.

Teaching Experience:
I have extensive experience teaching languages to students of all ages and abilities, and I have developed my own language skills through living and working abroad. I am French and lived in Spain for five years. I have a three year French university degree in Spanish, a European postgraduate degree in teaching foreign languages and the PGCE. I also qualified to be an examiner-corrector for the CEFRL (level A1 to C2) for French.

Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring for more than 20 years, one to one, small groups, after school clubs and classes in teaching organisations and businesses.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring depends enormously on the students' age, wishes and needs. I encourage them to take part in a negotiated syllabus, but also insist on accurate production. For the adults I use mainly methods that are created by native linguists (written only in the target language), which I complement by using reputable text books and authentic material.
For online tutoring, I use Zoom, BitPaper, an interactive whiteboard, a platform dedicated to French learning and other online platforms.
