I qualified as a Spanish teacher in 2010 after completing my PGCE in Spanish with French at Newcastle University. At KS5, I put focus on language becoming a tool to analyse societal issues, culture, literature and film. I have created an in-depth study guide for Como agua para chocolate with a strict step-by-step approach to tackling a high-levelled critical analysis essay. I have been the A-Level speaking examiner for Spanish students in my school, so I am knowledgeable on the mark scheme and requirements for high grades.

I am a university-educated, native Spanish speaker who has been permanently based in the UK for nearly 20 years. I am a professional translator with several years of experience and have also worked as a Spanish tutor from home, teaching both adults and children.

I have supported Year 11 students during their GCSE Spanish speaking lessons, helping them develop their confidence, pronunciation, vocabulary and conversational skills. I currently teach GCSE English Language at a local further education college and have recently moved to Bedfordshire and am interested in taking on some tuition classes at weekends and evenings.
