I have an MA in Classical Philology and Russian Studies from the University of St Petersburg and am qualified to teach Russian, French, English and Latin. Since graduating in 1978 I have worked extensively in language teaching and translation / interpreting. I have also worked in France for 3 years and attended an interpreting school in Paris (ISIT - Institut Superieur d' Interpretation et de Traduction). These days, I've lived in Yorkshire longer than I lived in Russia, so my life is very much shaped by both cultures. I have been teaching Russian from 2015 both online and face-to-face, school children and adults. My online students have passed the GCSE (A & A *). I have an interesting communication course for beginners.

Teaching Experience:
I am a native speaker of Russian and a Head of a very successful Russian department in a grammar school in London. I teach pupils from year 7 to 13.
I have been teaching languages in the UK for the past 25 years and pride myself in helping my students achieve their dream of studying Russian at Oxbridge and other Russel group universities. Many of my pupils fall in love with the language and carry that love throughout their lives. I am a teacher-examiner for GCSE and A level Edexcel Pearson examboard.
