I first started tutoring some of my fellow students in Elementary Logic during my second year at University and greatly enjoyed helping people improve their understanding of the subject and gain higher marks. I'm an author and a poet, I have had many poems published, won first prize in an international poetry competition (2011) and have also brought out two collections, which are on sale on Amazon. In 2015 I published my memoir A Hippopotamus at the Table. Set in South Africa in the 1970s. I'm about to publish my second memoir and published a book called Writing Memoir. During my time at Downe House, I gained valuable teaching and mentoring experience through various leadership roles. As Vice President of the Debating Society, I led junior debating workshops, teaching younger students the fundamentals of argumentation, public speaking, and critical thinking. I am the Head of Religion in a voluntary grammar school and I have been teaching for 18 years. I offer tutoring in the following modules:

GCSE CCEA Unit 5 (Mark's Gospel) and Unit 6 (Christian Ethics)

A Level CCEA Unit 1 (Luke and the Synoptic Gospels) and Unit 5 (The Celtic Church and Post-Reformation Church).

I have been an 'A' grade examiner for CCEA for 8 years.

18 years experience as a permanent teacher of Religious Studies up to A Level. Head of Religion for 10 years.
