I'm a qualified science teacher and Head of Science based in London, who currently teaches in a secondary school to students aged 11-18. I teach all sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) to KS3 and GCSE (Edexcel and AQA specification), and teach A-Level Biology (OCR specification). I have worked within education for the past 10 years and really love working with young people to inspire them to achieve the best they can. I have a surface pro with a pen for online lessons. In economics and maths, I use an online whiteboard which students have permanent access to, to write notes and solutions to exam questions. My approach is to accelerate students as fast as possible through their given course using exam material to deepen and develop their knowledge. I find I can accelerate students rapidly in maths (at GCSE and A-level), whilst they greatly enjoy the subject and the sessions. Students quickly improve at school too, which gives them extra confidence in their talents and capabilities. I set students past papers questions and we resolve any difficulties they had in the session. Iterating through past paper questions in this manner leads to exceptional results: a student of mine came in the top 1% in the entrance exam against Oxford University applicants and gained a place. Practicing exam material and constantly pushing myself is how I achieved first class hons at the University of Oxford (as well as how I exceled at school), coming top in Game Theory in the exam, so I believe in this approach.

Hi, my name is Maahi, and I am currently a student at St Dominic's 6th form, studying Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at a level. I received an outstanding set of GCSE grades and my set of results was even published in the school newspaper. I like helping younger students in any way possible, in year 10, I helped those who have come from foreign countries or have a lower reading level and have difficulty reading to become fluent readers through a 'reading buddies' programme. Personal Description:
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor based in Nottingham, with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their academic potential. I tutor Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to GCSE level, and I particularly enjoy making challenging topics easier to understand by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. I currently work full-time at a PRU in Nottingham, alongside tutoring a number of private students. I am patient, reliable and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building their confidence and making progress.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching and tutoring since 2008 and have extensive experience supporting students up to GCSE level in Maths and the sciences. I currently work full-time at a PRU in Nottingham, where I work with young people with a range of abilities, backgrounds and individual learning needs. Alongside this, I tutor a number of private students on a one-to-one basis. This experience has helped me develop a flexible approach to teaching, allowing me to identify gaps in a student's knowledge and adapt my lessons accordingly. I have experience helping students prepare for GCSE examinations, improve their understanding of difficult topics and, importantly, develop greater confidence in their own abilities.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is based on patience, encouragement and adapting my teaching to the individual student. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported and able to ask questions without fear of getting something wrong. I take time to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses before breaking topics down into clear, manageable steps. I use straightforward explanations, worked examples and plenty of practice to build understanding and confidence, while regularly checking that the student has fully understood the material.
