A level exam boards have a tendency to ask very similar questions and even repeat exam questions from year to year. We will therefore spend lots of time looking at exam questions and the way in which they're marked to maximise the marks you can pick up.

I currently work full-time at a PRU in Nottingham, where I work with young people with a range of abilities, backgrounds and individual learning needs. Alongside this, I tutor a number of private students on a one-to-one basis. This experience has helped me develop a flexible approach to teaching, allowing me to identify gaps in a student's knowledge and adapt my lessons accordingly. I have experience helping students prepare for GCSE examinations, improve their understanding of difficult topics and, importantly, develop greater confidence in their own abilities.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is based on patience, encouragement and adapting my teaching to the individual student. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported and able to ask questions without fear of getting something wrong. I take time to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses before breaking topics down into clear, manageable steps. I use straightforward explanations, worked examples and plenty of practice to build understanding and confidence, while regularly checking that the student has fully understood the material.
