I have been teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level students now for more than 20 years - and I achieve great results.

I decided to start tutoring after my experience in trying to get tutors for my own children. As a professional working internationally I thought it would be easy to hand over this important element of their education to someone with both experience and patience. My notion was quickly turned on its head. The Tutors I found taught textbook style with the one shoe fits all approach. My children and others didn't fit into that mould. I very quickly realised that I could do a better job and took the role in house, initially teaching my own daughters before extending out to their friends.

I am a successful local tutor and teacher with an MA in Education from Oxford Brookes University (2016), a Postgraduate Diploma in English and Language in Education from the University of Reading (2012). With A Level clients, I often re-read the key exam texts and exam specifications in order to deliver a successful tutorial. I have previously worked in a college as a supported learning assistant working mainly with dyslexic students onna variety of subjects.
I volunteered as part time help at Luddington and Garthorpe primary school in North Lincolnshire. I help when I am not busy, this is experience for me as it is something I am considering as a career path for the future, I help with the children, and I help the class teachers when their TA's are ill or busy elsewhere, I have also answered the phones when the receptionist hasn't been in.
I have also been volunteering at John Leggott College in the media department as an assistant to the staff and the young adults, this has given me more of an idea of what it is like to teach older children and a possible career choice. I try to evoke and capture a mood within my pictures, a feeling a unique moment, creating images that have impact. I hold a Further and Adult Education teaching certificate, I taught on the Access to Photography, at Newcastle College. I have continued to develop my teaching and training working with all levels from primary to Adult and A level . I teach Photography, Lightroom, web design, animation and multimedia. I am an American actor, director, producer and coach currently living in London.

As an actor, I've performed in regional theatres across the US including Cincinnati Playhouse, St. Louis Rep, The Alliance, Playmakers Rep, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and The Old Globe. Before moving to London, she made her home in Colorado, working at various theatres across the state. She received Denver Post Ovation Awards for her work in ALL MY SONS at the Denver Center, and RABBIT HOLE at the Curious Theatre, as well as the 2012 Culture West "Best Season by an Actress" award and the 2013 Culture West "Best Supporting Actress" in STEEL MAGNOLIAS at Senior Housing Options.

I produced two off-Broadway plays in New York City and two site-specific productions in Denver. I co-founded The Mile Square Theatre in Hoboken, NJ, now in its 16th year and I'm an Artistic Associate with Théâtre Du Rêve in Atlanta, GA.

I served as Literary Producer for LOCAL Theater Company, and adjudicated the LAB, a 3 day new play festival, for 7 years, and produced it for five. She is also a script scout for Noggin Sauce Pictures, a Colorado-based film company. Their short film, MRS. DRAKE, which I produced and performed in, has been in 18 film festivals in 2017, and won several awards. I am currently working on STILLNESS, a short film I wrote and will direct, with Five Fifty Five Productions here in London.

I have a strong foundation in Film and Media, which is clearly exemplified by my degree and my experience in the media prior to becoming a teacher. A key focus within my degree was the making of new and innovative content for emerging new media technologies, digital broadcasting underlined by learning traditional narrative structures and learning the production process from pre-production to post-production for Film and TV. My degree gave me a strong foundation in the skills required for creating creative media and film productions across a range of media platforms, as well as providing me with the fundamental theoretical concepts underlying film, digital media and communication technologies.

I've been teaching and lecturing for 15 years on different film movements and periods through early cinema to present day. I regularly analyse key film texts exploring all areas of film form and the aesthetical quality. I have a strong knowledge on the histrionics of film through intellectual engagement. My ability to teach practical filmmaking from production and post-production has driven my love for cinema. I use the study of film scenes to support actors in analysing actor's choices, tactics and objectives, voice, movement and how actors work in different screen compositions and frames.
