I have a dual background in Electrical Engineering and Psychology and retired in 2007 after 20 years as a University lecturer. I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. I have taught at some of the top independent schools in the country, including North London Collegiate School and Berkhamsted. With industry experience as a Software Engineer in various fintech companies, I am equipped to teach students at all levels, from secondary through to post-university, covering KS3 to A Level.

I am dedicated to effective teaching and employ proven techniques such as interleaving, spaced repetition, step-by-step modeling, guided practice, and fostering enthusiasm, all of which contribute to a high success rate. I regularly research educational theory and practice, specifically, in and around Computer Science Pedagogy.
