Teaching Experience:
I have 45 years of full-time teaching experience of Maths and physics in schools, colleges and universities. However for the past 13 years, I have been preparing students exclusively for the linear and modular GCSE Maths for the Edexcel, AQA and O&C examination boards with resounding success. The key skill universities are looking for is an inquisitive nature, so I do not lecture to the student, I let them give feedback and treat them as an equal, and in most examples let the student lead the session. My first session is normally spent working out the best tutoring technique, how motivated the student is and what sort of ability they are. For example, in some cases I like to set small amounts of homework which actually help develop a deep understanding of the question, rather than bundles of questions that encourage method-learning repetition.

From here, each session can build on the previous and will depend a lot on the current progress of the student, upcoming examinations, strengths and weaknesses and how confident they are. In general though, I like to go through the content as fast or as slow as necessary, and then do some past paper or textbook questions with the student. Each session I will set an aim determined with the student and work towards that aim.

I am an A-level Maths student predicted an A, with an A* in GCSE Maths. I tutor students up to GCSE level and aim to make Maths clear, structured, and easy to understand.

I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple steps, helping students build confidence and develop a strong foundation. My goal is to support students in improving both their understanding and their exam performance.

Teaching Experience:
I have 5 months of tutoring experience, working with students up to the age of 16. During this time, I have helped students strengthen weak areas, improve their confidence, and become more comfortable with solving exam-style questions.
