I graduated from Imperial College, London, with a first class honours degree and, for most of my full time working career, I was a computer software engineer. I believe that building confidence is vitally important. I encourage students to develop problem-solving skills that they can apply independently.

For students preparing for exams, I also place a strong focus on exam technique, working through practice questions and identifying common mistakes. For students aiming for the highest marks, I challenge them with more difficult questions and focus on developing the precision and reasoning needed to reach the top grades.

Above all, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.

My name is Michael, a penultimate year medical student. I hold a BSc Biochemistry degree with First Class Honours from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a leading university in Hong Kong. I have a strong background in Sciences and Medicine. My passion in these subjects encouraged me to become a tutor, where I can guide and motivate students in their studies. My medical training also equipped me with patience, as well as strong communication skills and teaching skills. All these experiences shaped me to become an ideal tutor for students who want to achieve the best that they can do.

Besides academic, I am a black belt holder in Taekwondo, a Korean martial art. I started learning Taekwondo since I was six. I have taught students ranging from primary students to adults, in their pursuit of an active lifestyle and skills to defend themselves if needed.

Teaching Experience:
I have 6 years of tutoring experience in multiple formats. I have taught primary students in groups to guide them finishing their exercises and homework. I have also been tutoring 1-to-1 to a student in Hong Kong since she was in primary school. Her academic growth helped her getting into one of the most prestigious secondary schools.
