Personal Description:

I'm a Mathematics graduate with a 2:1 BSc degree, and six years of tutoring experience in Mathematics. Alongside tutoring, I work professionally as an accountant, giving me a strong analytical and numerical background. I am located in Bath.

Having lived in several different countries, I've had the opportunity to meet and work with people from a wide range of backgrounds. This has helped me develop a patient, adaptable and approachable teaching style, particularly when working with students who may lack confidence in a subject.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 6 years of tutoring experience, helping students consistently achieve strong results and make significant progress in their Mathematics.
I have worked with students across a wide range of abilities, from those who struggle with Maths and need additional support to build their understanding and confidence, to students who are already performing well and want to push themselves further and achieve the highest possible marks.
I tutor students from KS2 through to GCSE, including GCSE resits, and tailor lessons to each student's individual needs and goals. Whether a student needs help strengthening their foundations, catching up with the curriculum, preparing for exams or aiming for top grades, I focus on building both their mathematical ability and confidence.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is centred around making Maths clear, approachable and tailored to each student. I first identify the areas where a student is struggling or where they can improve, then adapt lessons to focus on their individual needs and goals.

I believe that building confidence is vitally important. I encourage students to develop problem-solving skills that they can apply independently.

For students preparing for exams, I also place a strong focus on exam technique, working through practice questions and identifying common mistakes. For students aiming for the highest marks, I challenge them with more difficult questions and focus on developing the precision and reasoning needed to reach the top grades.

Above all, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.
