I am a professional geography researcher specialised in regional geography and urban sciences. I have gained my knowledge and expertise from universities across Europe (Pécs, Wolverhampton, Maribor, Zagreb, and Ljubljana). I am currently a PhD Aspirant at the University of Pécs, Hungary.

I am a primary teacher with 11 years experience teaching and tutoring across Ireland and England. I graduated with a B.Ed in 2011 and I recently completed a Masters in Education in school leadership. I have taught and tutored all year groups of primary age. In the past, I have worked as the Reading and Phonics leader across Early Years and KS1. I love to support students on their journey learning to read. I get the best from my students with a relaxed, engaging and creative approach. Good working relationships are important to me, and I like to get to know my students and parents well. I am a suitable tutor as I have ample teaching experience working with children not just in the classroom, but in learning support. I have worked with pupils to implement interventions in literacy and maths, in order to help them better access the curriculum. I like to stretch and challenge my students, while also providing opportunities for success on their learning journey. I make learning fun through an interactive and captivating approach to lessons. I have experience and have completed courses in teaching through White Rose Maths, Read Write Inc and Jolly Phonics. Before a lesson, I will thoroughly assess the student's abilities to enable me to adapt my lessons to suit their needs. Hello my name is Louis and I am going into my second year at Bath university studying pure Economics. At A levels, I got A*'s in French, Economics and Geography as well as an A in maths. I am fluent in French and could also teach spanish up to the GCSE level if need be.

I have also volunteered as a TA as a local primary school.

A qualified and working Geography Director working across several schools in the north of England. I have been a teacher, head of department, examiner and tutor for almost 20 years.

I am able to work with you to diagnose quickly the support that you need based on your knowledge gaps, specification, exam skills or simply how to structure your geography revision to maximise success.

Teaching Experience:
I have worked in several schools over the course of my career all in Geography related roles, moving on for promotion each time.

I am currently a Geography Director which involves working with Year 11 and Year 13 across multiple schools within the Academy Trust that I work for to ensure that students are fully prepared for their examinations. I use all of my teaching excellence in my tuition sessions as well as a wide range of resources.

I have also been an examiner and a senior examiner for the last 15 years for AQA and OCR so I am very familiar with the specification, NEA and exam requirements.

Tutoring Approach:
Sessions typically are one hour in length using a device to meet on as well as another device to work on. Expect the sessions to be interactive and complete work throughout the session and then have further work to complete as part of your revision schedule, you are accountable for your own learning so you can get as much out of the sessions as you want.

I always ensure that an initial phone call takes place as a meet and greet so that you can ask any questions that you may want clarification on.
