In university I undertook the role of being president of the Civil Engineering Society where I led other students and publically spoke. Aside from academic tutoring, I have twice been a summer camp councellor for people aged 9-16 where I taught sports and outdoor adventure related activities.

Tutoring Approach:
I aim to tutor from an equal level, rather than simply talking at students, I have always preferred to make teaching into a conversation where it's imperative that the student feels listened to and acknowledged. I understand that every brain works differently so novel approaches must be tried to find out what works for each specific student. I would only ever set light homework simply because I feel that it is useful for reinforcing what has been taught between lessons.
