Personal Description:
I am an ambitious and enthusiastic Cambridge University Master's graduate (Distinction), with a First Class Natural Sciences BSc. I specialise in Biology, Geography and Chemistry and have also worked as an Environmental Data Scientist. I have five years' tutoring experience in A level, GCSE and secondary level Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
I am determined to help you to achieve or exceed your target grades. I am flexible in terms of when I am able to tutor and know the importance of sticking to the syllabus and tailoring lessons to fulfil the specific requirements of students, in order to ensure you are fully prepared for exams and can avoid the stress that often accompanies GCSEs and A Levels.
Teaching Experience:
I have five years' tutoring experience in A level, GCSE and secondary level Biology, Chemistry and Geography. I have enjoyed tutoring younger students and aiding their progress towards achieving higher grades, including via online lessons. I tailor lessons towards the requirements of individual students, with focus on exam practice questions and specification content.
Tutoring Approach:
I will tailor the lessons to meet the requirements of the student. My lessons are productive, and often focus on structuring answers and exam technique. I will discuss techniques to ensure the points on the mark scheme are met and the ways in which to achieve top marks. I can also teach the content of the syllabus if that is what's required.
I can also give advice on how to ensure high grades for the EPQ and how to write the perfect academic personal statement.
