Personal Description:
I am a Cambridge graduate with a passion for Geography as a subject which I hope to share as a Tutor. I am a very experienced teacher who enjoys supporting students in achieving their potential. I am currently a Head of Department.
Teaching Experience:
I have a Masters Degree in Geography, hold QTS and have over 18 years of teaching experience at both GCSE and A Level. I have taught across a variety of school contexts: state school ; international school and private school. Whilst currently teaching and examining for WJEC/ Eduqas, I have previously taught across AQA and Edexcel courses. I have taught both the human and physical geography topics at A Level and have a strong understanding of the statistical aspect and fieldwork skills required.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to provide flexible tuition which responds to the students needs. I can go over any aspect of the course required, providing real
life examples to consolidate learning. I have a proven track record of students improving their grades with support in unpacking more complex questions and developing their understanding of what they need to do to access top marks.
I can tutor evenings, as well as having availability Monday and Friday afternoons.
