My teaching approach to tutoring varies from objective to objective. Languages should always be taught in a full immersion style, especially when it is targeting groups of people who are doing it for either vocational or personal reasons.
Tutoring of subjects such as languages with an objective such as GCSE or Highers or indeed University exams must take into account the syllabus that students must complete in order to reach their target: i.e. pass exams and, at the same time, learn in an effective though 'unforgettable' way. The majority of classes must be delivered in the target language, however in order to meet timing of syllabus coverage and exams some of the concept must be strengthened in the student's language.

I studied medieval languages, literature, and history at the University of Cambridge before completing an MA in Medieval Studies at the University of York. I then moved to La Rochelle (France) in 2016, where I taught English in two schools. After spending 4 months in New Zealand, I began teaching English at the Sorbonne University in Paris (2018-2020). I am now in the process of completing a PhD which focuses on medieval literature and languages (including Old French). - giving one‐to‐one English lessons to managers and directors of different companies and organisations focused on business and communication skills.

Tutoring Approach:
I provide students with different resources to work autonomously: questionnaires, photo cards, mats, sentence builders, surveys, etc.
I like leading students to be active learners by being in charge of their own learning experience, self-evaluation and improvement; and take the necessary steps to achieve the required targets and goals, and thrive on their courses.
I encourage students to be resilient, autonomous, committed and involved in the lessons, and participate actively.
I promote self-confidence throughout the lessons.

I have always be passionate about languages and I would love to support you to improve your skills and achieve your goals.

Teaching Experience:
I have been Modern Languages teacher for 16 years and I am dedicated to sharing my passion for Spanish, Italian and French with my students. I love tutoring as I can tailor sessions to meet the needs of each learner. I have a had a lot of success in the past with learners of all ages as I have taught from nursery age to adult learners. I am also an SQA marker for Higher and Advanced Higher Spanish and bring all of I have learned from this experience to support my students.
